I'm just curious to know: those of you who are making significant money with affiliate marketing, how many "articles" did you have done before you started seeing some (somewhat) consistent sales? By articles, I guess I mean anything: Squidoo lenses, actual articles, blog posts, and the like.

Also, when you did start to see consistent deposits into your account, how much were you seeing on a daily basis?

Thanks for your thoughts.

You can only but smile

It really depends on how good the article is and whether you are in a competitive niche or not.

Yeah, I understand it is pretty variable -- I was just curious what, personally, people here had to go through before they started seeing consistent deposits in their accounts.

At first I wrote a lot of articles and saw no conversions. Then i realized i wasn't targeting keywords properly. Once i started doing that it only took about 5 articles to seem some money.

it really IS a hard to answer question - marketing is constantly testing new avenues, new methods - some work and some don't - article marketing is no diffferent IMHO

Great discussion, though!

Well, when I got started in this business it took about a week. I got 3 sales in one day after posting some ads. All my ads posted were of the FREE variety. I think what you need to do to find your success is layout a gameplan and use properly. There is plenty of very useful information available for Free online.

My online marketing business was started with not one penny out of my pocket. I am not saying it was easy but for the highly motivated it is there to be had. All I can say is stick with it because you will find that success. There is no such thing as get rich quick without requiring some sweat equity.

I wish you unlimited success!!

I've written alot of articles so it would be hard to say how long for a sale. But once you get a good handle on writing you will get a sale with it, just hang in there.

Chris

Write about 5 - 10 articles a week and you should see good results.
