Realistic, I cringe when i hear that word

why limit yourself? Set your goals so big that when you achieve it, it will not only blow your mind, it blows everyone else mind!

Many of my success never came from setting tiny goals,
if Vishal had a tiny vision, you will never seen this forum so active and providing so much value!

This forum is getting 32,000 visitors per month... i am so grateful for people with huge vision with massive actions!

One thing I will give you, you are really good at stirring up emotions! that is one of the marketing strength you have that you can use make it happen!

$500/month is a great goal. The key is persistence and focus. Find something that you enjoy doing and keep at it. Don't jump from business to business, never really giving any of them your time and effort.

Mentoring - finding someone who is succeeding and following what they are doing is great. Especially if you can find a "buddy" to partner up with. Someone to talk to and keep you excited.

Do your research, give yourself time to learn and don't beat yourself up if you don't reach that goal the first month. Edison found over 10,000 ways that the light bulb didn't work before he found the 1 way it did. Your goal of $500/month won't be nearly so lengthy.

Dr-Boo,

You are lucky you've found this forum! There is a lot of truly inspirational people here and they are not afraid to share their knowledge and guide you in your quest.

That's the problem with the Internet Marketing - you don't know anybody personally, non of your friends are in this business and therefore it doesn't seem real. But here, on this forum, you can actually find Internet entrepreneurs, who's been doing it for a while and who can validate your expectations.

About your goal, who are we to say what's realistic for you?

Is it possible? Of cause!
Will you make it? No idea!

It's like Henry Ford said, "Whether you believe you can, or can't, either way you are right."

Internet Marketing is just another business. Is it realistic to make steady $500/month baking cakes or installing vinyl siding? It is. Is it a guarantee? No.

K-Mart gives you guaranteed paycheck. Same with Burger King.

Entrepreneurial success is always a function of hard work and diameter of balls.

I remember this conversation with my agent a few years ago when I was flipping houses.

I told him that my goal would be to make a million dollars on flipping real estate and he said it's not attainable.

I asked him what his goal was (he was trying to do the same ) and he said, that his goal was a billion dollars. I obviously laughed, and he said, that he understands how un-realistic it is and obviously he is going to fail, but in his case he would fail to make a billion and would have to settle on a mere million. That's some twisted approach to setting goals, but it might work as well.

The websites promising $5000 per month are not necessarily lying to you, they just omitting that fact that just "signing up" is not going to be enough, you would have to work at it.

If your biotech job pays you your $80,000/year - it is a very realistic amount of money for you. Go ask your cashier at the grocery store what is realistic for him/her. The number is going to be very different.

All I was trying to say, Yes, $500/month is realistic.

I would try Affiliate marketing by advertising other's products. You can find tons of products to sell at Clickbank.com or something similar.

You need to learn how to market your product and many of the Affiliate sections in clickbank's products will give you the exact ads and keywords to use or emails to send via solo advertising.
