I've been trying to find effective ways to REALLY draw traffic to my MLM websites, but I don't have the money to promote myself using tools like Adwords or other mainstream sponsored search results. I'm wondering just how much mileage I can get out of posting on classifieds. Are there ways to draw a lot of traffic using classfieds? Also, what classifieds websites are best to use?

Terribly sorry if this is a repost.

You may want to check out USfreeads.com - they have free advertising, and if you want, you can upgrade to their paid version, which gives you more options to work with.

Thanks guys! My concern is that when I post ads, they'll get backlogged in a matter of minutes, rendering them unseen. Does anyone here have that problem, or is it just me? I don't want to have to keep reposting my ads every day if there's a better option.

With most of those places, the free option involves reposting but some of them have paid options that will keep your ad rotating....

We get what we pay for, basically!

How often do you post? And do you post the same ads over and over or make them all different?

I have been in your situation, and the good news is, the majoriety of the free marketing methods have residual value, they just take awhile to develop. YOu can do craigslist and they will work, but the craigslist people are getting pretty good at findign mlm ads and change their spiders almost daily, stuff that worked last month dont this month, so you have to be pretty techo savvy to stay on top of it. Now, here is my gold nigget for you folks. "ilist" almost brand new site. I just started using it so no value to report yet, but it links all your social networks together and can also post on craigslist for you, so its at least worth a shot.

good luck out there

Classified ads are a good way to start as a beginner, but I would branch out into other methods of advertising and marketing for better results.

backpage.com is one place that I used to place classified ads. The thing about them is that you will get better page ranking if you are posting a number of ads everyday. However, not many people actually read the ads, so directly its not very effective.

In addition to your classified ads, I would start using Credit Based Safelists and Traffic Exchanges now. These methods will get your page counter rolling.

While you are doing this, you should learn more about article marketing, forum posting, social networking, and video marketing. These are ways to get more targeted, quality leads to your site. You will see a better conversion ratio with these methods.

Finally, I would add an invisible tracker to your webpage. This way you can see where your leads are coming from, and modify your strategy accordingly. The best one I have seen to date is statcounter.com. They track the last 500 visitors to your website for free, and its actually very simple to install into your website.

I hope that I have provided some assistance to you.

I've really enjoyed sale spider and got lots of good traffic from there. Really enjoyable, and you can earn from Google adsense there so it would be a win win situation, to put the money toward Adwords.

I don't however advise using adwords without proper training, it could kill your bank account.

I agree. I learned that from personal experience. I really think Adwords is truly a skill.

I lost quite a bit of money with PPC.
Not joking matter.

Targeting at the wrong keywords will not get you anywhere.
