Ok, i am up to 10 articles and they are saying I have to do 10 or 20 more to get my account upgraded. Does that mean I have to wait until the last 2 are approved before I can write anymore? I am confused.

No. Just continue writing and submitting. You'll be upgraded automatically when you reach the required number of articles.

Ok, but when I tried to write another article they said I had 2 pending approval so does that mean when they go through, I can continue. I hate it, I was on a roll today.

I thought with Ezine articles that you can pay a $9.99 membership and write all the articles you want. Upgrading might be paying the membership fee.

You can still write articles - they just won't upgrade your membership until they have that minimum number in. The main advantage of an upgraded membership is that they will approve your articles a lot faster.

Seems like they want to make sure that the quality of the 2 pending articles is consistent with the others before they grant you an upgrade. Makes sense.
So, keep writing your articles anyway. Just hold off on submitting them till you get confirmation that all is well. Since you are in a writing zone, you don't want to lose your momentum.

WOw, it seems like you are very hard worker!
I used to write an article a day,
but I gave up!
Now I would rather write less but quality articles.
Good luck to your business
Happy day~^^

I got laid off, have time on my hands and have found the articles really drive the traffic. I also love to write. And another thing that drives me is that I really don't want to go back to a real job, I am cleaning houses, catering, doing whatever I can to survive til I can get this off the ground.
The thought of going back to a job with a boss really gets me up early in the morning and at this computer.

You will need to get the article approval from the ezines first before they decided to upgrade you. Meanwhile you can try other articles directories like goarticle.com

No. You can still write more articles while your waiting for your other articles to be approved. When they say that they will "upgrade" your account, it just means that if you write good enough articles then they will upgrade your status and give you special features.

I read all the emails and tips they sent me and that avoided them coming back for approval. They will only accept one link and it has to be in the last paragraph. The title has to be done a certain way as well.
They sent me an email asking me to write why I should be upgraded to Platinum status and I answered and was uupgraded within an hour.

Once you learn what ezine wants writing the articles will become easy. The trial and error part will teach you what you may or may not include in your articles.
By the time you get to 10 articles, I"m sure you will have it down
