Sonni: So it comes down to Travis Sago or Ed Dale, either one of these guys can get you started not spending anything.
Michael Dlouhy is another one - he has over thirty years in the industry...
A8ch: Regardless of all the wonderful opportunities and strategies others may be using successfully, it's still up to me to figure out which ones work best for me.
As usual ... very well said.

I feel for you. However, let me ask you, why did you give up on affiliate programs? I guess to succeed in such an endeavor you must be a good writer, have good marketing skills and above all, perseverance. You will not get rich being an affiliate but I am quite confident that you can make a decent amount of "side" income that could drastically improve the quality of your life. Think about all the programs you have tried. Has there been even one where you could have done something different or didn't have the skill set to succeed? Private message me as I would like to know from your own experience. Thanks in advance.

Wow! Thats why I love this forum because people shoot straight with you and not try to BS. Thanks for all your imput everyone, it is priceless.
I am going to take you up on two things:
1. I have been writing down notes for a while now but have never considered to write an ebook with it. Some of the things I taught in my groups was "the pitfalls to avoid". I guess it's time to put all the notes together and put it into an ebook. Great idea KARMA!
I will keep everyone posted and will give away Free copies to my friends here OR.....
2. Start my own affiliate program and let you all be the first to know about it........
Would anyone be interested if I got the ball rolling on this?
I promise I won't "BS, Hype or ask for a million dollars to join. If anybody would like to add their thought or experiences to the ebook, please feel free to give me some feedback.
I am sure everyone has had some pitfalls along the way. I will give you one of my many on my next post

mhale32: YOu make it sound so easy I wish it was the case. Im lost with no one to help me. Im confussed with no where to turn. Maybe someday I will understand the marketing game. Right now I would just settle for a person that really care and wants to help people like me to earn a living online. Im not looking to be rich. just a business I can be proud of. I read everything I can get my hands on trying to learn everything I can. everywhere I turn someone want money. Like you said some people are here to try to make ends meet. feeling lost and alone
I am sorry you feel so lost Mary. One thing is for sure, it is not necesarrily easy to make money from home although often the things we do are really simple.... if that makes any sense!
What will help you the most in your search is to not be afraid to ask questions - if you see someone's website (and they are usually in the signature somewhere) and you like what you see - ask questions!
Nobody is going to reach thru the phone and drain your wallet - and if they don't answer your questions, then you kow they are not a good fit for you anyways.
But that is what helped clear the fog from my brain when I was first looking - and the more I researched and asked questions - the more clear it got how everything worked.
The other thing it helps to ask lots of questions is it avoids you falling into scams - scammers do not like answering questions. They will tell you that you need to " pay the fee" and then you will be able to get the information....That is BS. Run when you hear that!
I would be happy to answer questions for you and if I don't know the answers I am sure someone here does.
Happy researching! Viola

I think it all comes down to a couple of things:
1) Be Creative
2) Have Patience (if you do decide not to invest money)
I say be creative and brainstorm your own ideas to make money online. You do not have to be a 'guru' to find ways to work the affiliate-marketing system. Think about what attracts you to an ad that you see online. Use google adsense and commission junction (and others) to the max. You have to think outside the box.
And as far as wanting to do something that is free. You can do this of course, but you cannot expect a generous amount of income coming in unless you can control the amount of business that you get working with the company. (texting sites etc for example). I have a friend that worked on liveperson.com when it was kasamba making great money every month. However, it was always a different amount each month depending on the traffic that would come to her.
Think about what your skills/talents are and think of ways to market it. But don't depend on other companies and people to guarantee a huge stream of income to you simply because they 'say' they can/will. This is how people make money for themselves. You are the last person on their mind when it comes to the almighty dollar.

Hi: I am a newbie to this forum, and am excited to say it is one of the most exceptional forums I have found to date. I have been in internet marketing for eleven years. I still have not found the ULTIMATE income I have been promised, although I work very hard. I do make enough to support my online marketing sites. This means I am breaking even most times.
I must give a pat on the back to Hermas, my goodness you described my first years exactly with your," The Grasshopper Syndrome!" This happens to many and they get so discouraged that they give up, quit, leaving the money they have invested, to then again begin another program with more money.
I have been examing this forum, reading for a couple of days and have found a wealth of information here that in the past I have paid 47+ to reap. Can't wait to read more! Thank You All So Much!

I'll get straight to the point. One of the keys to succeeding in a home business is keeping your overhead costs low. You want to bring in more profits than incurring more expenses. Then, you can wisely use a portion of your profits to cover for your advertising. PPC works. However, there are also tons of free advertising methods out there. It's really a matter of learning them and applying this knowledge consistently. My recommendation is to get into both affiliate and network marketing as affiliate marketing will provide you the quick bucks you'll need, whereas in network marketing, you are able to grow an organization, in which once it becomes full blown, you can take a vacation for a month and still get paid. Don't give up on your dreams. Remember why you've decided to have a home based business in the first place.

Most everything you do in this industry is simple. It may not be easy, in fact a lot of it is not until you really learn it, but it is almost always simple.
Learning to be an effective and efficient marketer can be a steep learning curve. Some people learn it faster than others. Most people you read about in a 'success story' testimonial actually struggled in this industry for a long time before becoming that successful.
If you are able to build a large downline and still not produce the income you desire, then I would suggest seeking out a different opportunity. Spend a lot of time looking at the different opportunities out there. You need to find one with products you find value in. They have to share common goals and outlooks with you. Master marketers can build a team with any company they believe in.
Remember, this is your business. You are the CEO of your million dollar business. You have to have the vision for the future. You are responsible for where it goes. Once you get it, success is abound.
