can anyone tell me what newsgroups are and how I can use them to promote my home based business?

Newsgroups are Internet discussion groups on just about any topic you can imagine. There are more than 50,000 newsgroups, and more are added all the time. These were created to share interests and hobbies.

Wow, it's a wicked old term for bulletin boards, forums, etc from the Usenet days.

Yeah they were basically forums before there were forums. As of late they have become more popular for "sharing" programs and such. Basically pirating movies and stuff.

I couldn't venture a guess on how to use them to market...hell I didn't realize anyone actually still used them for anything productive.
