I'm intrigued by the thought of making money every time someone clicks on an ad on my website.... is this really how it works? If so, what are some legit programs for publishers seeking to make money from relevant advertisers on their sites??? Thank you

Hi Lars,

I think you mean "ads" rather than "Pay Per Click".

Ads: you place them on your website and get paid each time someone clicks them.

Sponsors (text links or clickable images): You place them on your site and get paid a fixed monthly rate from each sponsor regardless of the number of clicks.

Pay Per Click (PPC): Ads that you place on search engines or on websites that belong to others. The ad link leads back to your own site. You pay every time a visitor clicks through to your site.

I think that you may be confusing Adsense and Adwords. Adwords are for driving traffic to your site whereas Adsense is getting paid each time you drive traffic from your site to another site.
