Hi Guys,

I am not sure if I am alone in this boat but I am seeying strange things or maybe it is because I am doing business with the wrong guys.

Here is my question.

Why do Internet Marketers like selling thier clients one product after the other without making sure the client is happy and making money with the first product?

I have been a victim of this vicious circle and i think its wrong. Should'nt they help you make money with the initial product first and start promoting other products as soon as you making money?

Is this how its supposed to be?

Am i beeing too ambitious to expect a stranger help me make money?

I dont think they have the customer's interest at heart or maybe as i have said, I am doing business with the wrong guy.

Is someone else seeing this practise or am I alone in this?

Hi Shakes,

Yes, it can be a bit discouraging when you are trying to legitimately start on an online business and you feel like you are going in circles.

It is easy to get caught up in the cycle of buying item after item and never really get anywhere.

A lot of internet marketers that are promoting 'make money online' products don't really care if others are benefiting or not, as long as they are making money themselves.

That isn't always the case. There are some really genuine people that do want to see people succeed and are willing to go the extra mile to help them do it. It is not easy to find them, though, is it?

I was blessed to be rescued fairly quickly out of those shark infested waters by SBI. Before that, I spent a couple of months floundering with a couple of products that promised the world but never delivered.

There are some good souls who have learned that by truly helping others you help yourself. I'm really grateful.

You should take a lesson from this feeling you are experiencing. Don't fall into the same cycle yourself by trying to promote the same ineffective products and dash other people's hopes.

I decided after my early experiences that I wasn't going to promote things that I didn't really think were worthwhile and beneficial to those who were buying. You feel so much better about what you are doing and can ask the Lord to bless your work with a clear conscience.

I don't necessarily think it is ambitious for you to expect strangers to help you make money, especially if that is what they are promising to do. But when all is said and done you have to take responsibility for your own situation.

1. Ask for a refund when you buy something that is rubbish.
2. Check into things thoroughly before jumping into them.
3. Be willing to share what you have learned with others.
4. Put in the time and effort to build your own business once you find the right online business for you.
5. Expect to be disappointed if you fall for promises of easy wealth. You really have no one to blame but yourself. (At least that's what I tell myself).

Hang in there.

Angie

I was rescued by Wealthy Affiliate University also...
after reading many ebooks and trying different programs.
Many have nearly the same content.
Now that you are more aware of this..be careful.
It seems like the "sharks" never make it long term.
The Universe has a wonderful way of taking care of these matters.

Shakes12,

Actually I have found the people I have worked with online to be more ethical and straightfoward than companies I deal with in my traditional business.

I think it really comes down to what company you partner with. I agree, its not right to push another program on someone if they havent mastered the first one yet. I dont even know how some people juggle more than one business online. I have enough work with my one business just to keep up with the ever changing internet scene.

Dont get discouraged by your negative dealings. You are in the right place just with the wrong people.

Oh I have been through the same thing. I almost gave up, it was so discouraging. But I kept at it and finally found the one thing that works and the people involved are very helpful in making sure that I succeed. That is their #1 goal, for the members to succeed. Of course, I know that they are making money too.

We have all heard, "If we help enough people get what they want, we will get what we want".

Thanks Vic,

I am new in this forum and I am not sure if we are allowed to name and shame these sharks.

Thanks Bill,

There are a lot of products on the market and the big question is, How do you know if its legit or not?

Since I'm not a guru and only sell one product, I regularly answer personal PMs and emails. I don't want to be rich and famous. I want to rich and anonymous.

Sadly there are many "gurus" out there that will tell you the bast way to make money online is to create a list and send them ads. And they are right to some extent. It is very simple to get someone who's looking to make money to spend money, in my opinion it's pretty damn shady, but that is in fact how a great deal of these guys online make money.

Most money makers online aren't there to help people, they are there to make money, and unfortunately what they do works very well for them. Which actually makes it a little more difficult for real teachers and people interested in actually helping you.

If you can find the right person/people who are genuinely interested in helping you and who practice and not just preach the whole "Help people get what they what and you get what you want" doctrine then you are blessed indeed.

I will say that in my own downline that for every 10 people I sign up and want to help only about 2-4 of them actually continue to follow through with contacting me and with building what they have and asking questions. I've always wondered why this was. I tend to answer all questions as best as I can, but for the most part people simply stop asking them...

It is unfortunate that some gurus are just interested in getting people into one program after another and do not care what happens to those people under them.

You need to check out a company and the product before joining. Make sure you ask questions of your sponsor, if they do not answer then find someone else.

If you want to know it the product is legit and can not tell ask in the forum, you will most likely get both sides then you can decide.

Another thing that I have noticed is some of
these "big time" earners are involved in more
than one thing. So if they say they have made
200,000 per year it is more than likely not with
just the program they are trying to get you
involved in. It is with several programs combined.

I have come across this. I will see a "heavy hitter" on
one program and then there they are again on another
program. I am not saying there is anything wrong with
being involved in more than one program but sometimes
it is misleading about the profis that are made.

But it has all been a great learning curve for me. So I will
just keep learning and keep asking questions on this
forum.

I have successfully built huge downlines, this is done by helping others succeed. Those that help there downline will reap the rewards, those that do not will end up with lots of people leaving there program.....

Unfortunately your experience is something that we all have faced. The good news is that there are a lot of good companies out there that really want to help you succeed. You have to take the time to do your research and find them.

This forum is a great place to help you find what you need but you have to be cautious in here as well.

Maybe the best thing you can do in your business is to set the customer service bar at a high level and provide the type of support that YOU would want.

It never ceases to amaze me how appreciative my customers are when I focus on making sure that they are completely satisfied with their interaction with my businesses.

This kind of approach reminds me of The Golden Rule:
"Do unto others as you would have then do unto you".

This might be the best approach for finding REAL success.

I believe there are many people in online marketing that act the way you are referring to. Fortunately, I believe many are starting to come around and see that this is a completely unethical way to do business. There are still many people in online marketing that truly want to help others. And honestly those who operate from the mentality of giving and helping their team succeed, the will really be the most successful. There is nothing wrong with the business, but you may want to branch out and start learning how to do business from people that are operating the way you want to. That is one one of the best ways to become successful that I have found. You find someone who is doing what you want to be doing and learn from them.

I don't think that there are many people on this planet that are totally selfless and giving. That being said there seems to be an over-abundance of internet marketers that have absolutely NO compassion or conscience whatsoever. Given the old saw: "what goes around comes around" I don't see how some of these "sharks" continue to make money. I guess its because of the other old saw: "There's a sucker born every minute".

It works like this:

Tom: I have discovered the secret to online riches!
Dan: Really, what is it?!?!
Tom: I'll show you if you give me $100.
Dan: Ok, sure! Here's the hundred bucks, now show me the secret!
Tom: I just did.
