All In A Day's Work
When I worked as a sales assistant in an electrical store, a middle-aged lady came in with a faulty vacuum cleaner. She was very apologetic and explained that she would have asked her husband to fix it but he was very busy at the work at the moment.
She watched patiently as I took the cleaner apart and found what appeared to be a dusty ball of cloth blocking the bag.
"Here's your problem," I said, placing the small bundle in front of her. She looked at it with horror, at which point I realized it was a pair of ladies' knickers.
"It's OK," I said. "I've seen vacuum cleaners blocked with stranger things than this."
Choking back her fury she replied, "No it's not OK. Those knickers aren't mine."
