Hi, guys/gals I'm having trouble trying to figure out were to put googles tracking code on my webpage.

Everytime I put the code in between the body tags like they say it keeps messing up my page's headline and subheadline.

Anybody know where your supposed to put this thing?

The best place to put the tracking code is at the bottom of the page. Just put it before the <body/> tag ends.

Yeah,

Statscounter will allow you to see where you traffic is coming from and what keywords are being used.

If you do decide to join it, you can place the code that they give you at the very bottom.

Shawn, you have to make sure that you are pasting EXACTLY what Google gives you. Make sure there are not any blank lines in between the code.

Shawna, do you mean the code for google analytics , or for verification of site ownership ?
If it is for the analytics make it the last bit of code before </body> instead of the top right after the <body> code. This will keep the rest of the code clean on the page.

If it is for the site verification, make sure it goes in the <head> page

Shawna also make sure you haven't left any spaces in between by mistake.

If you put it in the bottom of the page underneath everything else, you should be OK.
