Hey guys I just started using Twitter as part of my online marketing training. I'm being mentored at the moment from Dean Holland in his Starting With Marketing Academy and it's been a great experience.
I've been on twitter for about 5 days now and I already have 106 followers and I'm also following about 56 people. It's good because you get to share with people what your learning and also find great information from their online marketing exploits also.
I've found some very good links from people I'm following about articles and videos that would help me build my business. Of course you get some spammers but you can always block them out.
So for those of you who are not on twitter, I recommend you do so to better your business. And if you are on there my twitter address is http://twitter.com/stevelesoo so if you'd like to follow me and also leave your twitter name so I can do the same, that'll be great. Cheers
Steve

Im fairly new to twitter and just getting the hang of it. One thing I do recommend is to track your tweets when you are listing your website. That way you can see what tweets are bringing you traffic.

cherie27: Here is what you want to do if you are receiving spam on Twitter.
- Follow @spam (twitter.com/spam) - Send @spam a direct message. I include the spam sender(s) ID(s) along with a brief description
If you pull up a profile on Twitter, there is a button labeled "Block" that you can use to block people
Hope this helps.

I wouldn't spend a lot of time on twitter. To me twitter is a fad. You should focus your marketing on tried and true methods such as article marketing, blogging and forums.

Ask yourself why you would use Twitter.

I don't mind if it's only other marketers that are following me on Twitter since they may be looking for another program to use! I've had lots of clicks on Twitter.

You can succeed in twitter but it really depends on how you gonna handled it. One of my friend succeeded in twitter. He use an software to gain his followers. But STILL, he implement what twitter rules. He did not use his account marketing it at all. I hope it might help.
