I read articles for months about writing articles and how great they are for driving traffic to your website. I will admit that I did not take these articles seriously until I actually did it and am now seeing the results. This is awesome! A FREE way to get people to your website. Plus, writing articles is viral and grows and grows without any effort on your part.

Is anyone else seeing a benefit from article writing?

Todd

Writing articles has amazing benefits only if done the right way. It has become more of a numbers game now with more emphasis to quantity than quality. It's pretty easy to get your aritcle listed on hundreds of article directories that have spring up lately. However, the benefits you get from such listings is very miniscule compared to those you get from getting your article listed on authority sites. Search engines know how easy it is to get your article listed on such directories and hence the links you get from such site may not even be factored towards your site's ranking.

You start reaping real benefits from articles only when you focus on quality than quality. Rather than churning out 1 article with rehashed information every day, if you could come up with an article containing information that is not found elsewhere, once a month, you'll witness amazing growth.

I like writing articles but I don't think I know any good secrets to make it work really good. If someone could help me a little with some tips that would be great.

Vishal P. Rao? You said that you need to get your articles listed on authority sites. What kind of sites is that if you could give a good example?

All the best,

John

Yes. Writing original articles and submitting them to standard directories certainly helps in getting visitors. But the article's content should be related to the content of your site. People should feel after reading the article that they will benefit in some way by visiting your site.

Authority sites are the sites with most traffic and have been enjoying a steady top ranking in search engines for a long time. Most of the time, these are sites within top 5 ranking in Google for your related market.

Yes, articles are good for driving traffic to some extent. But, have you ever tried yahoo answer? It is a very good idea.

You mean info like, carry an uncooked egg in the glove compartment of your car? That's in case the radiator springs a small leak, you can crack the egg and put it in the radiator to stop the leak.

May be, that quotes can be added as a funny thing on your websites and people searches for some funny jokes they can claim your site in this regard...

Yes writing articles Is a really great way to get traffic to your website and you will get traffic for months once you articles
are posted all over the internet and on other people websites.
I Think the best way to do it is by have a copywriter write all
you articles and then submit the to all the articles site for you.
I will be doing that real soon to promote all my websites

You must focus on quality and you must stand out from all the "generic" articles that get submitted.

Definitely! I think it's so effective because it covers all the basic lead generating methods such as building trust and credibility with your reader and allows you to "showcase" your expertise!

What really amazed me at first is how quickly your articles start to show up all over the Internet. And the best part is you get back links right to your site for free! It can't get any better than that.

In the past, most of my articles were on my own site, with only a few on another site.

I have just launched a new audio site, and have submitted an article to a handful of the top article sites, within the past couple of days. Ezine Article if I recall takes a week or so to be indexed. Go Articles indexes every 8 hours.

Here's my question. Sit back and wait for a month? Or write another article with new content, that again relates?

Just maintain a tempo that you can sustain for a long time. Search engines like seeing links coming at regular intervals than irregularly.

Yeah,

Ezine is probably the best place to post your articles. They are very strict though (no affiliate links) but Google love Ezine. You can get an Ezine article on the front page of Google quite easily if you optimise it correctly

Dave B

PS. Write 10 'expert' articles on Ezine and you get platinum status. Then your articles get approved really quickly

And are you writing the article on your business and how good it is, (promoting it)? Someone please help me cause im confused...

Dave,

I want to incorporate writing articles into my business. Put that journalism degree to work . Is there any editorial restrictions on the top sites? Do they have to "approve" the article before submission? Thank you for any input.
