My name is Alan Payne. I'm 40 years old, and currently on disibility from my previous place of employment. Needless to say, I am on a mission to finally figure out how to be successful when it comes to working from home. I am somewhat computer literate, but I soent most of the last 15 years working long, hard, hot hours in a factory six to seven days a week. Needless to say, there are some aspects I fell behind in concerning the internet and computers, generally speaking.

In some ways, I still find myself 'rebelling' to our 'always online/always connected' society. I anm a very social & people-oriented person. So in effect, I would usually rather speak to you in person or on the phone, than through a computer screen. I do have facebook, but rarely use it. I hate twitter. I'm in a couple other social networks as well, but find myself rarely using any of them when compared to 'the masses'. I know that creating an online business will mean that I'll have to virtually live on the computer at first, compared to how much time I spend on it now. And that is why I am here. I need to learn. I need a mentor to help guide me, give me tasks; become friends with. I do not have a niche, program, or business just yet. I'm still learning & researching some things for myself first. I would also hope to find a mentor before I decide on a business or model.

If anyone in this forum is willing to be my mentor, or can point me to someone that can or will, please let me know! I'm intelligent, dedicated to learning, willing to take personal inventory & responsibility, and I am very in tune with both my strengths and my weaknesses. God bless you all, and thanks for reading about me!
