I have never used it much but when I did use it for network marketing - I was told to stand out and be different. (by my mentor)

Rather than try to sell like every other Tom, Dick and Harry out there, be helpful and offer something of value, remembering that 99% of the networkers on there are struggling in their business... so even they are all looking for leads, they are also looking for stuff that works.

If you have a free ebook to offer it is a great way to generate leads for whatever you are doing... and help them at the same time.

Seth,

I know what you mean! They filled my inbox up with crap too!

I consider it a waste of time and money. Why pay to be a part of a social network when Myspace, Facebook, Tagged, and other social networks are 100% free and full of people.

I was a member of DM for awhile and actually did make some money through promoting it. Unfortunately, it just wasn't enough. As far as it being a tool to promote your primary business, it proved to be very ineffective.

Paying money to be part of a place where you will just get spammed. Whoever though it up is genius but it has no real value. You wont find top producers on that site and as we know the only way to make huge money this industry is to team up with top dogs.

My advice to you is keep it. If you hate the emails change your DM email address to one you dont use much and forget about the spam.
