Offer a free product such as an ebook will generate tons of free leads for you.
And on the subject of Craigslist, there is a section on there under the 'services'>'small biz ads' for those that wish to advertise their home businesses on there.
What I discovered when I was doing that was that it worked the best to place 2 ads a day in different places and wording it differently each time.
I got carried away one day as I was getting a fair response so I figured if two was good, ten would be better and I got to posting away and they slammed me good. 
So I went back to two a day!

you can use youtube just like a forum. by leaving comments with your signature at the bottom. Youtube is the 4th most visited site on the net.

You can always try Orangeleads. Their leads are free. You get seven at a time, but if you refer people then it gets bigger.

Yeah I agree, blogging is powerful.
Posting keyword specific articles are the key, with good keyword density of course (2% or less). Google's free keyword tool is a great resource too for that.
And you can throw an optin box for your newsletter on your blog and collect your visitor's info.

I just joined this community. I am using free traffic exchanges. The result is not bad.
I am also using Free Classified ads which I may say it is total waste of time.

I don't believe anyone has suggested this, and if I missed it I apologize. I have been using Leads Leap for three months now. I started with the free PPC program only and saw an increase in traffic. Then I upgraded to the pro program and have done even better plus made a little extra cash to pay for more ads! The Free PPC service really is a something for nothing program that I recommend! You can't beat the price!!

Forum Marketing is the easiest way to provide targeted leads provided you are in the targeted crowd related forum.

I have people fill out a survey to get free vacation. I have surveys going right now to get customers for my products.
The free vacation is an affiliate program, so I get paid by them when a customer gets a vacation and when an affiliate signs up to offer them themselves.

Blogging is good, but I don't recommend using any of the free blogging services like blogger or wordpress.com
I DO recommend wordpress.org since it is highly customizable and very search engine friendly.
