We all as network marketers have there when prospecting about business then sometimes a prospects doubts about our company and questions it legality or integrity and we come all over to defend it.
Is DEFENDING YOUR COMPANY THE RIGHT THING TO DO?
My answer would be a BIG NO. There is no point in convincing as you will waste a lot of time on it (I have done that) and just move on to another prospect.
Guys we are not in a convincing business here. Just give your time those who deserve it.

yes that is true but it really depends on how serious the doubt is. In some cases you may want to have them talk with someone from the company or a very successful upline person before you completely discount them.

When I make lead calls I lead with an application. They don't even hear my company name until they take their application.
I never give them time to doubt my company o.0.
Sorting is easy.

I gree with you big time in not focussing on defending your company. From experience what people join is really people, if they get a sense that you are good leader, then there is a great possibility that they will feel comfortable to work with you. That is why it is so important to do Self Branding. When they feel a sense of who they are working with and that you are not just trying to grab at their money, and you really want to help, then you are on the right road.

One reason people doubt your company is you. If you don't have conviction in your voice, the prospect will doubt both you and your company.
Remember...people join people not companies. It really is the truth.
In an initial call, you should be asking questions and gathering as much information about them. It's not about you. The prospect cares about their needs and wants, not yours.
If you believe in what you're doing, they will too. You have to have the mindset of, if they join great. If not, I'll find someone else, because you really WILL.
Lastly, if you sound desperate for the person to join, you will more than likely lose them. Even if it is your first time on the phone, have that mindset. Try it...it WORKS!
