What triggers a prospect to join us?
Is it the company's fact and figures or it's steller growth.
No it is not. Think again!!
It is emotion. And How do we bring that up?
By TELLING REAL STORIES.
be it your story or your upline's success story.
It brings emotion and human beings make decisions based on it.
Try it and watch the RESULTS!

Stories of other people doing well is a BIG when you want to get more and more prospects to join you.
It is also very important to follow up with these people because the fortune is in the follow up and the relationship with them.

I agree! Tell the stories of normal everyday people that started where you are at or even below where you are at now and how they have prospered! We all want 'PROOF'!!

Yup...Emotions are certainly a great way to prospect. Now, the thing is that you must stay congruent and truthful with your prospects even when you are tackling their emotional responses.
In this business..People join other people because they NEED to get out of their day-to-day situation.

I've said it time and again. People don't join opportunities, people join PEOPLE who they can identify with in some manner. Telling stories about your life helps them to do that very thing. If you aren't putting a bit of yourself into each and every ad that you promote, your message is lost in the sea of every other person doing the same.

People can only identify with other people and their personal situations. I used to be a nurse and if I talked to my patients on a personal level, it always got me further and made them less afraid. It applies the same in the online world as well. Identifying with them on a personal level will only make them less afraid to explore the products that your are offering. Therefore, it will only increase your sales.

Absolutely great points!
If you are just getting started and dont have any "success stories" then use your teams story.
On this forum alone you can find several...

I don't want to negate the points raised in this forum at all. It is true that adding a personal, relatable feel to the pitch or site does indeed help. But simply coming from my own perspective here... would this approach only work best for someone who has a consistent front-line, in-your-face type of contact with their target market?
I guess what I am saying is that, to me, a one time story about how someone has succeeded massively with such-and-such a product, course, system etc., has very little credibility in today's World Wide Web of Anonymity.
As a 'tactic' to get sales... we can become anyone we want. We can say anything we want. We can be the dirt poor, lay-off casualty that finally found their way to financial freedom and abundance, whilst heating up a package of Raman Noodles because it is all we can afford... right now.
So... As a 'tactic', this is a bit shady, and the reason some of us have issues with it is because many people already have it in the back of their minds that no one is who they say they are anymore.
I admit, it is a very pessimistic viewpoint and I promise you, I am not really that pessimistic a person. But honestly... we've all been lied to by the "success stories", no?
In my opinion, being real and personal and adding in your stories --or the success stories of others-- would work best in a personal blog, or social networking site; in an area that attempts to embody a bit more transperancy.
Becoming a real human to our target prospects needs to happen in a place where we 'humans' have to be more accountable. Otherwise some may believe you... others might not.
Does that make any sense at all?
~Joy~
P.S - I'm not knocking the Ramen Noodles, folks! I survived on them in college. Yum Yum.

Just an adage from my upline that is true in my business; "Facts Tell but Stories Sell." My product is relatively high priced but when people hear fantastic testimonies first hand they are willing to go to the next step. We focus on the product and results rather than the money that eventually comes.

I think it's important to brand yourself as a leader in any Networking company, like what Daegan Smith and Jonathan Budd have done.
Hopefully, I'm not touting these guys!
