I have been around this industry for seven years now and the big ticket direct sales companies that were the rage in 03-06 have really fallen hard. Selling big ticket personal development is very very difficult for the common person. 99% of people make zero sales. The other 1% make huge money. Emerald Passport and Liberty League are gone. Wealth Masters and Lifepath are basically dead. There is no more buzz about big ticket aussie two up plans because of the carnage they create. In my opinion there is so much crap out there these days with the postcards, and the cash gifting, and all the travel gigs it is tough to find a business that one is not embarrassed to promote. Most of these companies you sell overpriced and overhyped nonsense.

In this economy people want to save money and make money. Take my 7 years experience of actually making money in this industry you want something or a service that offers the consumer value or helps them create or save money. Buying overpriced conference tickets and sellling them is not duplicatable.

Success to all.

Lifepath Unlimited is one of the best top tier opportunities.

It's easy to sell, since new reps get a full $1000 commission when they join.

But, it unfortunately inherited a bunch of distributors from Liberty League International who are from the hard-sell school of business.
These are the guys who give the industry a bad name.

They over-promise, under-deliver and try to get you to mortgage your house to join at Destiny.

In fact, I just started coaching 2 guys who were brought in by Jeremy Miner, and both were horrified at the lack of support and the "proven marketing system" they got once they joined.

(Think: Craiglist and passing out business cards!)

Yeah. Old school.

There are some sharks in LPU, and there are a few people who can actually help you succeed. So do your due diligence.

You NEED a custom marketing funnel to succeed in Lifepath Unlimited. And you need somebody who will take the extra time to teach you how to market. Without that, you won't succeed.

In fact, because this is a top tier opportunity, the marketing is EVEN more important. You need a strong funnel, and I'd recommend a lower-end product to sell to people who just won't have the $1695 to get in at the Discovery level.

Actually, come to think of it, MLMZing fits perfectly LOL.

Hope that helps.

Hello everyone. I am going to give you most open/honest information on the business and marketing aspects of LifePath Unlimited. I am a professional business consultant who has moved into the network marketing business - and believe everyone should still apply all offline business concepts to the network marketing world too (have a real business plan, etc.). I am a LifePath happy LifePath associate, but strongly believe in presenting the opportunity as it really is. And these are my own personal opinions and totals which I have calculated conservatively.

First, THE INVESTMENT, which is what everyone wants to know first (though it SHOULD NOT actually be the most important factor in your decision). Again, these are my calculations based on the business model and making a very conservative 2-3 sales a month working under an experienced mentor.

Available Investment Levels, which include all additional start-up costs that I have estimated for initial marketing, lead tracking system, supplies, etc.

A) A $2,500 total start-up and about $300 monthly new work at home business investment could yield an average person (yes, putting in actual hard work) about $30K to $40K annual gross commissions.

B) A $11,500 total start-up and about $300 monthly business investment could yield an average hard working person about $100K annual gross commissions.

C) A $26,500 total start-up and $400 monthly business investment could yield an average hard working person multiple six figures annually - as this would be the type of new business investor wanting to do this full-time as a true career business -- building residual income, building a successful team, and looking to retire in 3 to 5 years (again, my opinion).

D) Last, if I find a very motivated and dedicated person looking to get into the business on the lowest shoe string budget possible to still succeed, I have created my own program for them that would only cost about $500 to start and still a monthly cost of about $200. The down side is that they would be starting out very slow, making just a few hundred dollars starting in months 2 & 3, but then could move into the (A) program above thereafter.

So from an investment perspective, basically the more you have to invest the more the program allows you to make and at a quicker pace. The amount of work up front is basically the same, with the only additional work going to those who are now supporting their new team members. I personally went all the way in at option (C) as I am taking this business very seriously and didn't want to go in at anything but the top level to maximize my invest return in the shortest amount of time. I would personally recommend that if you can start at levels (B) or (C) to do so, but everyone has their own set of goals and budget, so best to match your invest to your income goals.

NEXT, the main product. I actually love their Discovery Personal Development Series. It is their basic start-up product and if you dedicate yourself to actually take the course yourself you too may find a lot of personal and financial benefit as I did. I have to admit that I am not a big "self help" guru or participator, but after first watching the movie The Secret and then taking the course, I am not totally into it. It may or may not do the same for you. More on the other two main products later.

FINALLY, the work. If you really want to make money in the network marketing business you have to market and put yourself out there. I am naturally a desk working type who never did any form of self promotion in the past, as I never had to. But in this business you have to learn how to get out there and even move outside of your comfort zone. I did it, so I expect you can do it too. Why do it? Because the financial and personal freedom reward can greatly outweigh the risks of doing so. I was dead set determined to make this venture work, and it is that dedication, commitment, and persistence that will help anyone succeed in this industry if they fully commit. I have not regret my decision, and find the extra time at home to be a real blessing.

SO TO SUMMARIZE: The LifePath Unlimited company was a great fit for me, and maybe it will be for others. I love the daily training calls, the friendly and supportive community, and the resources they provide. BUT everyone has to judge that for themselves. I also liked to fact that you personally take in all the money and then pay the company to ship the product to the purchaser. REMEMBER, GET INVOLVED WITH THE COMPANY, OPPORTUNITY, AND MENTOR THAT YOU FEEL THE MOST COMFORTABLE WITH. THEN FIND A MARKETING STRATEGY THAT YOU ARE COMFORTABLE WITH DOING. AND IF YOU ARE SERIOUS ABOUT CHANGING YOUR FINANCIAL SITUATION, DON'T LET ANYTHING GET IN YOUR WAY. You will read things that say network marketing and LifePath are just horrible business decisions, and then the next thing you read will say it is the best thing that has come along since sliced bread. MAKE YOUR OWN DECISION AND THEN MAKE IT HAPPEN YOURSELF, regardless of what anyone else says.

Best of luck to everyone in their search for their own business!

Richard

Like so many businesses its not so much which business you get in its who's business you get in. Lifepath offer some great personal development programmes but if the person that you sign up with is only in it for the money then unless you are seriously motivated you are in trouble. Make sure that you can speak to the person freely and find out what support they offer. Chat to some other rep's, its not always the highest earner that will give you the best chance of success. My experience tells me that you are sometimes better of choosing a good mlm company with the right upline and support system. The reason being is the investment is less and the support is usually a lot better than these 1-2 level pay plans..

Success lies in the individual who joins a business, not who he joins with. If you dont treat any business like a major endeavor and dont become a master marketer, prospector, and closer you will never have success no matter how good your upline is. Sure its good to offer tools to your new people but they must do the work. I used to do the big ticket items like this and did well, but quite frankly 98% of all people that join these big tickets wont make a penny. Not because of their uplines or the business but because they are not willing to do what it takes.
Now in this economy joining smaller ticket programs like a MPB Today where the product is something everyone can use and must use is the way to go. People want to cycle fast and just earning a little money here or there goes a long way for morale.

Hi, does anyone have any updates on this company? I've been researching and got excited but now I've heard the founder is leaving and the one left is a thief!!

Any comments are appreciated.

Thanks
