Thanks Tracey Shockey for setting things straight.
I am a Shaklee distributor.
There is know doubt in my mind that Shaklee is the best home based business!
The products are the best. If you want to represent the best, go with Shaklee.

HappyBrats3, Looked at Shaklees website out of curiosity. Knowing, from experience, I do have a few questions. The products look great, am wondering does Shaklee manufacture their own? Sorry, but the prices do look a bit steep to me. They don't look like they would be cheaper per use than the grocery store. What % do you earn from your downline? Do you have to sell a certain amt each month to be paid? Do you pay for your website? What is the membership retention rate, in other words, what % of members stay with Shaklee? Are you still with your original upline, or did you have to break off t o start your own downline? What kind of free training do you have available through your team & company? Just good questions for everyone to ask of any company that they are evaluating. I am sure I missed a few questions that should be asked.

Yes gracia, these are excellent questions that I too would like an answer to. Now, let's see what happens. (or DOESN'T happen!!)

I use the product now and then, what I like about Shaklee is that you don't have to order every month and lets say you don't order for a few months, you don't lose your downline. Like in Melaleuca. The prices are a little high, but you have to compare, top of the line products with Shaklee's product. You can't compare the a generic brand because they just won't do the same though they may look the same at first once you read up on the Shaklee products you will see that theirs is far better.
As a business opp, I don't do it, mostly because I've been through the monthly autoshipping programs and don't want to be ordering 100 to 150 dollars of product every month. If you don't order that month you don't get paid that month either, makes sense, I'm not complaining about that. I just don't want to get stuck with products, every person is different, in my case I'm the only one using the product so I don't go through it fast enough to autoship every single month.
I like a business that you pay ONCE and don't have to pay again and again, and "everyone" earns the same income. I found it and I'm sticking with it. Overall Shaklee has great products, people are making money with it, I know some of the leaders in the company and have been aligned with them for a while. Bottom line is you have to believe in the system and in what your promoting/selling. I personally believe in the products, the comp plan not so much. Hence why I just use the product.
Best of luck. Maurice Morgado 613-253-8628

I don't see anything wrong with Shaklee's Comp plan, Actually I heard that they have the best compensation plan in the entire industry. With their Gold bonuses, I don't think anyone could top the pay. I also don't see how someone could have a problem when they are in a business like this for themselves with doing the monthly purchase in order to receive their check. Because if your going to do this as a business, than you should plan on making a lot of money and would cover your products. I don't see how someone could come in as a distributor and not buy a single product, I personally don't like to sponsor someone that does this. How can you go out there and tell others about products if you don't use them or know how great they are. I tell my organization , you don't have to know every detail about the product or what exactly they do for someone, you just have to get to know them. The only way to know them is to switch your stores. If you replace what you normally buy at Wal-mart or Target, with Shaklee instead, than you wouldn't have to stock any products at all. I go through so many products for our own personal use at home, I never have this problem. It's just me , my husband and my 2 year old. Personally I usually use double of what the requirements are to get our check.
But if someone can't do their purchase for that month and know they are not getting a check, it is nice to know you won't get canceled or lose your downline. This is a great company , I think one of the best or they wouldn't be around for 52 years now.

Great products and company... the questions is, are you looking to buy products or make money with the system? I know of people who are successful just like with any other business, however one should expect that it will take a lot of work and time because the commissions are small...
I am writing this because I have noticed many new people to the industry get stuck up on the company or products... they have to be good of course, but it doesn't mean you will make a lot of money..
first, decide what your goals are... if it is working 20 hrs a week and generating a six figure income within your first year, it will be hard with Shaklee... if it is to supplement your income with a couple of hundred a month, it may be a good option.
I hope this helps, !

Hi, I just wanted to add that shaklee now has global expansion happening!! And if you combine that with the streamline magic system and the car program, it gets even better! I love the shaklee products, I started using them when I saw them in the national media and on everyone's favorite talk show! I was looking for alternatives to the cleaners I was using. Now, I can clean and still breathe! I'll be happy to send someone the websites you get if you want to do online business with shaklee. Thanks

Now after 52 years, there should be some definite stats, as to how many people have tried shaklee as a business, how many dropped out, how many successful, average incomes at different levels etc.
Where might something like this be found?

Amen to that CRJ. If working 20 hours a week, which is 80 hours a month of course, produces 'a couple of hundred a month', that's not much of a payoff.
This is about $100 for a 40 hour work week. $2.50 per hour!!
Even if you double, triple or QUADRUPLE that payoff, it's just not very much. Especially when you consider that this is after a couple of years work. So there were months when you didn't even get that!
Maybe this is why all we hear from about these MLM's is how wonderful their products are.
If I am wrong, and I am quoting CJR (sorry CJ!), then maybe someone can elucidate the how wonderful the Shaklee business is for a change, instead of the endless ramblings of how great the SHAKLEE (and other MLM's) products are.
This just doesn't seem to offer much in the way of profitable business value, not for the rank and file anyway.

Hi;
Shaklee is an awesome company with a business opportunity that is legitimate and lucritive.
I know someone who has been with them for a while and is making a nice income. I just joined in Feb and have earned a small amount each month for all but 1 of those months. I've never earned money that quickly, even if it isn't a lot. I know the possibilities! I've just started with the Golden Ticket Movie System and it's making it even easier to start making money.
To get the bonus checks you have to place an order every month but it's worth it. The products are awesome. I look forward to my order every month and they've helped my children's asthma.
You can't go wrong with Shaklee.

The average income for Shaklee Business Leaders san range from $10,000 a year to $250,000 a year. It all depends on how hard you want to work for it. You may have to put in extra hours in the beginning but when you are sitting at a higher level this income will come even when you are not doing much. In order to enjoy the freedom that comes with financial security one must first work hard to get it. This is just my opinion.

Although I am not a distributor or a customer (I sell similar products which are cheaper) and never have been, I have never heard anything bad about Shaklee.
The company has been around for years and has a wonderful track record with the BBB and the organizations for direct marketers.
My suggestion is this.
If you honestly LOVE the products and feel confident that you will have no problem selling them, then there is no reason why you should not become a distributor.
I became a distributor with my company for one reason and one reason only: I can NOT live without the products. If the business were to be taken away from me tomorrow, I would still buy them. I feel like I get great value for my money, and products that are not available anywhere else. I can't buy them at a local store and there are no competitors I can buy from online. And, since I can do all the rest of my shopping from myself, too, it just made good sense to me.
Because I feel this way, the business side of things has also been a breeze.
If you have any reservations about the Shaklee products yourself, or about the business, the truth is you probably won't be successful, and it won't have anything to do with Shaklee.
It's not important what WE feel about Shaklee. What's important is how YOU feel about Shaklee!
If you love it. Go for it!!!
to your success,
g

Tara,
Are you having any success with the Golden Ticket Movie?
I'm thinking of doing it, but am wondering about the response I might get.
I LOVE MY SHAKLEE!
Were you in New Orleans?
