Having read the same rehashed stuff in 90% of Internet marketing eBooks, I had vowed not to buy another eBook on the subject. However, the sales letter and the claims of Affiliate Project X was too irresistible to give up. Yes, my skeptism did held me back for three months but I finally succumbed. Here's my unbiased review...
What
I liked About Affiliate Project X
Being an intermediate affiliate marketer, what I liked about Affiliate Project X is that it does not waste any time in explaining the nitty-gritty details of affiliate marketing (Of course, for beginners, there's a video showing the details of affiliate marketing in the download section). Instead it focuses mainly on various (six) methods you can actually make a living as an affiliate marketer. Having firmly believed that organic search engine traffic is the only way to riches online, it provided me lot of inspiration and ideas to explore various other strategies of making money from affiliate programs.
Chris, the author, claims that when this eBook was created, he mailed out to his list asking for volunteers to beta-test the techniques outlined in the eBook. From over 100+ shortlisted candidates, he chose 12 affiliates and drip-fed them the techniques over a three-week period. Out of the 12 candidates, half of them where making $100 per day and four of them $50 per day. The remaining two didn't invest enough time to make it work. Please note that one of the major reasons contributing to their success was Chris himself who constantly encouraged and pestered them for their latest results. So your success depends entirely on your own efforts and discipline.
What I Didn't Like
Firstly the price. Yes it's priced a on the higher side. Secondly, one of the methods require you to purchase another high-priced software, Keyword Elite. If you already have it, then great! Else, you are still left with five methods, which I feel is more than sufficient for an average affiliate marketer to test and experiment.
Conclusion
If you are stuck with a particular way of affiliate marketing, and need an assortment of fool-proof ideas to diversify (which you must), you'll love this eBook. Who knows, one of the techniques may turn out to be your ticket to riches?
