Did you know you can use Squidoo to get traffic and ultimately make sales by promoting affiliate programs?
It is true, Google loves Squidoo lenses and they can be indexed in as little as 2 days. Most of the time when I am searching a popular keyword there they are, at least 1 Squidoo lens is on the first page...
Just a heads up that Squidoo is looking pretty good

There is a really good thread on here for Squidoo and newbie shield is an expert on that.
I have several lenses but never made much money with it - yet...
I am up to $1.75 now so it does work - I just don't have enough time to do everything I want to!

Google seems to favor certain sites, but you won't earn much with Squidoo unless your lens gets a lot of traffic

Squidoo is in essence a blogging site, you can talk about anything you desire. To answer your question about what a lens is, a lens is a word for different pages created on squidoo. You have one squidoo account, but you can have 10000 lens' if you want. You can write a "lens" about How to get rid of a headache, you can write another "lens" about how to write HTML.

Hi Michelle,
Squidoo is a Web 2.0 community containing a forum, a blog, and a few hundred thousand individual free web pages.
A lens is simply their word for a free page.

Yes Google does index Squidoo very fast. Just pick the right keywords and you can get placement quickly.
I use my lens as a link to my website and it works quite well. The modules make it real easy for newbies. And you can make a little cash if you just get traffic to your lens. I believe they have an Adsense coop and every member gets a proportionate piece of the pie.
I made $18 last month!! Its not much but not bad as a bonus to a great lead generation tool.

The thing about Squidoo that crushes other article sites (if you even want to consider it an article directory), besides the fact that it is google's pet, is the fact that you are essentially creating a web or landing page for your product. Now you can't advertise this page through PPC and the like but you could never optimize a landing page on your own that would beat squidoo SERP-wise.
You're free to add pictures, use code, youtube vids and you can organize your page how you please using headlines and the text modules to score higher with your KW phrase.
It's definately a coup for the bum marketer who knows how to find the lesser targeted KW phrases associated with the affiliate product he/she is marketing.

I made over $900 using Squidoo last month. There are certain things that you need to do in order to get ranked highly. Picking the right market is also crucial.

I created a new Lens two days ago, and it was on the first page SERPS within a few hours!
I am working with Wordpress Direst, as you would own that blog.
I prefer Lenses to Hubs, as Squidoo seems to be very friendly.
