Why are signature files no longer allowed?

Allowing signature files attract lot of posts that are purely self-promotional. Morever, as signatures can contain links to both good sites and bad sites, to maintain the integrity of the forum, I must enforce this rule.

However, you can always promote your business through your profiles page, a link to which is displayed along with your posts.

Urls are now allowed with your posts, with few restrictions. Read the updated terms and policies.
