My Internet explorer block active x from running unless I allow it. It will block my AdSense adds from showing. I everyone computer is like this visitor's to my sites may never see my adsense adds. Anyone have suggestions on this?

    Thanks.

    Hi Randy,

Not much you can do in regards to communicating with visitors so you'll have to try some other things.

First, within IE - > Tools > Internet Options > Internet Settings > Security Tab > Internet > Make sure default is selected.

The majority of your IE visitors will be using the default level, which is currently set to Medium-High security.

As an aside, I wouldn't drop my Active X options below Default as the security risk would be unacceptable. It goes without saying that it wouldn't affect your visitors anyhow.

If that doesn't work, contact Google and ask them.

I would also consider contacting your hosting company and discuss it with tech support.

Another option is to view it through Firefox. Some where around half of your visitors will probably be using Firefox anyhow.

Hope something works out for you.

I don't think turning off Active-X will turn off AdSense ads. You need to turn off Active scripting or Javascripts. However, Javascripts being used on almost majority of sites to power some of their functionalities, it is very unlikely that users will turn them off in the browsers.

And I'll tell you not to worry too much about those who turn them off. They may represent a miniscule percentage of netizens.
