settled in following his training and what does he do!

    Hi Sundown,

The first thing to do when learning about online marketing is to identify the main components. Then you study each component. Then you start experimenting and so on.

It's okay to get distracted a bit in the first year or so of learning. That said, it's best not to get distracted outside of what you are purposely trying to learn.

That's easier said than done and for those of us who love to read everything about online marketing that we stumble upon, distraction management is a must.

We all get distracted. I sure do. I'll never be immune. I love the topic way too much. It's good to identify the most important areas of study each day and each week or we risk getting side tracked and end up taking too long getting to the critical mission components.

Learn about the 80/20 rule and the law of diminishing returns. Learn to stay focused on the most productive and valuable tasks while not getting too distracted by things that are a relative waste of time.

It's tough for everyone but we all have to learn to use discipline.

If you haven't done so, take the free 30 Day Challenge. That'll help you identify many of the fundamental components of online marketing. You'll know what to do after that. Here is the addy:

    www.thirtydaychallenge.com

That'll keep you focused in the proper areas for a while ;)

Get a seperate email address for work at home stuff...if someone keeps sending you email for more "opportunities", just unsubscribe or tell them to leave you alone.

getagrip is absoultly correct. We need to treat our online income system as a business and try and remove all emotion from the situation. If you are truely interested in the oppertunity and your business needs or can afford to experiment then go for it, if not then pass on it for now.

I get a lot of emails and do tend to get frustrated when the same person keeps on sending them even though they already sold me a product.

What really bugs me is when you purchase from them but they leave you on the same list and keep on trying to sell you the same product over and over.

As for the getting distracted, well that's in us all I think.

I started keeping a journal to try and help keep myself on track. I can quickly go back to any point in time and see if I am on track of if I let some smooth talker distract me, again.

Just ignore the message or unsubscribe from the list.

Don't get frustrated for nothing. You need to control your emotion well.

I've made up my mind on which products I want to purchase and who I want to learn affiliate marketing from. It is a pain in the butt all the emails you get so I mostly just delete or else scroll down to where it has the no more emails link if they have one that is. I also understand that once I learn more because I'm only new to online marketing that in the furture one of those pain in the butt emails will probably be one of my own trying to promote a product to somebody else so I guess it's the name of the game. But try and stay focused and good luck.
