just was wondering if anyone used myspace to promote their business or make a myspace just for your business. I know for my personal myspace if I just put in my screenname or part of my name and another word or 2, it gets the top search result back. I am thinking this can be a good easy free way to get your business on google or yahoo search engines. Agree or disagree?

Personally I stay away from social sites like these as they seem to be heaven for scammers. There are many people here that do use it to their advantage.

I agree with pinkyparrot. There's too many of the invites for scams and spamming. You waste time trying to filter or rid of all the messages that ask you to be their "friends".

i cant get good traffic from myspace like facebook. once you do facebook then you can see the result. nothing you cant decide unless you have tried it right?

I dont use it, but many people are using it as an effective marketing tool. One of my friend is promoting pharmacy items in myspace.

    Hi Fireman,

I don't use either at this point in time.

Many claim that both are worth the time and effort.

Give them both a try. You never know what works and what doesn't until you put it to the test yourself.

I've tried using both. They generate a little bit of traffic, but not the best in quality. Twitter seems to be the most affective nowadays.

I started with myspace and now I use facebook. Myspace is great source of traffic but the only thing I don't like is that your links get block easily.

I recommend you do both there is an advantage to that, but like always there is a good way and a bad way to use them.

Also I recommend twitter as well is easy, simple and very, very effective. I generate leads from there as well. I combined the 3 of them in my marketing and the traffic is big.

But try to pick one at the time, set it up, get good at it than you can move to the other ones. I tried one time to do everything at once and I got burned.

Good luck and come back and let us know the results. [IMG]

I've been using twitter lately. I am in the process of building up my followers. Presently If I announce a review of a product. within 5 minutes I'll have from 5-20 hits on the review. rangng from the US to south africa. You can't ask for better exposure than that.

My game plan is to start working Facebook and increase my friends following. Then use the same techinque there. This is a LOT more economical than paying for a google ad for the same thing.

especially since they have been getting so snotty lately...
