You can try Squidoo, I read a pretty inspiring article from a Giant Squid member that you can pretty much make some decent monthly income if you really put your heart into making articles online.

The only catch is, you need to be patient and slowly rise through the ranks and maybe some advertising to get your articles some traffic.

If you want it a more objective base, you can try PayPerPost. I think they ask people to write articles about a certain subject. You just need a 30 day old blog with at least 10 articles.

I'm currently with Squidoo, but I haven't been all that active. It is nice nevertheless.

Hope this helps. Google for the URL's I'm quite scared to put URL's in this forum.

Hello Everyone! I would like to know of any website or anything I can do to write a good article. I have just started my business and I have hired a ghostwriter to write my first 3 articles. I submitted a number of my own articles only to have them rejected. Any advice from anyone would greatly be appreciated. Can anyone relate? Thanks a bunch!

There's a link in my signature that says free books. That will take you to one of my sites where you can download some free resources that will help you to know how to write better for marketing, etc.

Two of the books are "Make Your Site Sell" and "Make Your Content Presell." They are both helpful.

There's also a free Net Writing Course that you can download.

Help yourself to whatever you like. I hope they'll be a blessing.

The only advice i can give is to read the rules of submission, all article sites have them and unless you comply with those rules you will get the rejected.

Yes this has happened to me before and i can understand how annoying it is.

However what has worked for me in the past is that i resubmitted my articles and they were accepted, it could be just down to who is reviewing them at the time. [IMG]

    I've had that happen. [IMG]

Another thing you most of the time you have to actually be supplying information and not selling. That is the hardest thing for many people simply because sometimes you're writing articles for things you really know nothing about. (hence on of the best things to market is something you like)

For things I've not known anything about I tend to write reviews. As I can give an honest opinion about what I'm writing about and provide value based on recommendations based on what I DO know.

    Some tips:
Faqs are easy to write and anyone can do them. i.e. step by step guides, information faqs, etc, etc are good.
Basic information: Sadly if you're looking just to get articles up that no one is going to find useful then you can do this. I've seen people literally copy paste information from other sites [IMG] I do not condone this but eh I'm not your mommy. I will say they are generally not very effective.

What I would suggest doing actually is checking some articles already posted relating to what you're doing and see what they've done to get an Idea of what is "acceptable" and what is not.

    Hi Shannon,

It's impolite to hijack a thread by asking a question in the way that you have after the thread starter has asked his/her question. I'm sure you didn't know and you didn't mean to be impolite. I'm just letting you know that you might consider avoiding that in the future.

    Devil,

I consider paid article gigs to be very transitional. Only do it if you are real desperate for quick cash in the short term.

Never accept less than $30 per article. Even then, don't write an article that exceeds 500 words.

It is much better to create your own website so that you can create each page and move on to the next page. You'll get monthly income from the majority of your pages if you do it well.

Look at it this way: Create long term income. Know that those who pay for your services are looking to at least double their money. Many understand that they will make money each month of every article you create for them.

In many cases, they will make a 100% ROI or more for each article you write and for several months to come. In some cases they'll profit like that for a year or more on many of the articles.

Leverage your efforts and expertise. Don't work for someone else unless you need to save your house from foreclosure or something almost as extreme.

If you've got skills and talent, make sure you benefit the most every time. Don't make other rich for a measly pittance.

    Good luck,

    ~Newbie Shield~

Thanks for the tips guys! I like the FAQs idea that would be a good choice for writing articles as people would like to get exact answers from their questions. CHEERS everybody!

    I agree with Newbie Shield,
You can send free traffic to a free squidoo lens and then to the vendor. You'll make a LOT more money with article marketing than with just writing for pay.

I usually submit my articles to ezinearticles.com, but not for pay.
If you write fresh material of good quality, it will get you traffic to your monetizing websites on the long term.

I have tried several money making programs while being a freelance writer on the side, and have found that the freelance writing is really the only dependable source of income, at least for me. I get my projects from several places...

    -Elance.com
    -GetAFreelancer.com
    -Scriptlance.com
    -The writing section of Craigslist
    -FreelanceWritingGigs.com

It helps to have a writing portfolio/website that includes your contact information, details on the services you provide, and samples of your work. Network with other writers to get more information on jobs.

Hope all that helps anyone interested in writing!
