A lot of people make good money through clickbank, but I wouldn't say it is easy. You need to be sure you pick good products to promote and you need to really know how to promote them in the most effective way.

I never really had any success with using free classifieds to promote the products.

If you are going to try to promote a product in a forum, you need to establish yourself there first as someone who knows something about a particular niche and gently promote your products. It's not as simple as making a comment and leaving a link in your signature and getting a flood of sales. [IMG]

Articles are probably more effective if you can write half way decent and choose a niche that isn't overly flooded.

There are no guarantees. It seems everyone's experience is different because of all of the variables.

I really only promote a couple of clickbank products that relate to my chocolate candy niche and my parasite niche. I use text links on my sites where it is relevant. Having said that, I've only made a handful of sales, so I'm no expert with clickbank! I "sell" a lot more actual products as an affiliate than I sell digital products.

P.S. You need to change the link in your signature to to make it work. Obviously replace the words your url with your actual url. [IMG]

    Welcome mrworks,
Do you have products that you are trying to promote or is it just promoting the online income system? Sometimes that makes a difference as if you are trying to make money as an affiliate for their system, then just do what they say as they are wanting you to market their system...

It looks like you are trying to generate traffic to your landing page, correct? You can do that by posting in forums, like this one , with informative stuff - helping out and not just blatant posting about your biz.... and having your link in your sig...

I think you will have to set up a blog or a seperate website if you write articles as some directories won't let you link directly to a lead capture page - but writing articles is a very good way to generate traffic to your site. Just write informative articles about all kinds of stuff. You will be able to have a link back to your site in your resource box (or signature box) and make sure you are just yourself when you write!

Your readers will only click on your link if they like what they are reading...[IMG]

Just take it one step at a time - get one thing mastered and then add another method - otherwise you will busy accomplishing nothing.

  4. mrworks,

You can make very good money promoting clickbank products, but only if you know how to promote those products.

Article marketing is just one way of promoting and can be very successful if you know the in's and out's of writing articles that will rank well in the search engines.

There are many ways to promote clickbank products and I would advise you to take your time and research all the different free methods of promotion.

    Good luck
    Barb.

You can make great money promoting Clickbank products, and article marketing can be a very powerful way to promote them, but as eluded to above, you need to do it right if you hope to make a buck, as it can be rather tricky.

You can definitely make a lot of money through clickbank. Forum and article marketing is very efficient, I highly recommend it.

For all my marketing experience I never fully understood how someone could steal your links? Can anyone expound on this?

As for Clickbank tried it, (though not with article marketing) and didn't really like it because I couldn't find any products on there that jumped at me an I had no passion in selling them.

My experience with article marketing is that if you do it right you get traffic, so I would venture to say that if you do it right you could get sales from it. Geating a top google ranking would be very crucial to this. There are many tricks of the trade to getting good rankings, in fact many of those pointers have been giving in this forum over the past couple of months.

    Best of luck to you,
    Gilbert

    Hi Open,

Humans and bots (sent by criminals) can go into your web directories and replace your affiliate code with theirs. This is uncommon on good hosting company servers so don't get too worried. That's one of the most disturbing ways. Malware programs on your own computer can wreak similar havoc.

While cloaking and redirects may help in some cases, they are not the panacea. Furthermore, SEs may penalize cloaked sites as cloaking is often viewed as spammy.

To confound things further, there are unscrupulous forum admins (I'm not at all worried about this forum) who can easily hijack an affiliate sig link. Affiliate networks (and MLMs) may also be dishonest about traffic, sales, and commissions. This makes it harder to find the culprit.

If you are doing well with affiliate sales from your own website and one day they sharply drop, you may have been hijacked. Obviously you would investigate this on both your own back end as well as the affiliate network stats.

The solution for that particular situation after you have completed your investigation would be to delete your current web pages (some or all at your discretion) and upload fresh pages. This would get rid of the hacked pages. Then you watch to see if your sales pick up again.

If sales pick right up, you probably were hijacked and the problem is probably fixed. Now figure out ways to protect against further intrusions if you are able else it may happen again.

There are other solutions but the one I have offered is one of the better ones. A point to keep in mind is to keep your computer clean. Clear your caches, use malware cleaners, etc. If you upload things from an infected computer, who knows what else you will upload beyond the intended benign files?

It helps tremendously if your hosting service keeps up with security patches - some of which provide protection against affiliate hijacking.

    Hope that helps,

While on the subject of virus/spyware. I have been trying for 3 days to get rid of some invasive somethings, since I'm a newbie I don't really know what I'm dealing with, I don't know which of the antispywares are real and which are scams to download to fix my problem. Can someone recommend some that actually work?

Adding a p.s. to my last message. IE is not really useable on my PC at this time because of this problem, however, as of right now I'm on Flock which seems to be working. I don't understand how one browser can't be usable and the other working good. Thanks, for help

    Hi Sonni,

    Free progies:

    Free Malware scanner (download)
    Ad-Aware
    http://lavasoft.com/products/ad_aware_free.php

    Free online virus scan:
    Trend Micro
    http://housecall.trendmicro.com/

    Free Cache Cleaner (download)
    CCleaner
    http://www.ccleaner.com/download

If you already have a mean-spirited virus, it may prevent you from installing and/or running one or more of the above programs.

Sometimes you might have to uninstall and reinstall internet explorer to fix issues.

As another option, if you have ie6, you may be able to install ie7 over it. Often times, this will repair the browser and give you an upgrade in the process.

You may also be able to repair ie by going to the microsoft update center and installing service pack 2 if you haven't already done so.

This one is a last resort but it sometimes works when other methods fail. If you already have IE7, you can try repairing it by going into the tools menu in your browser, then the INTERNET OPTIONS menu item, then on the ADVANCED tab, you'll see a RESET button. Click it and reboot your computer.

There are other ways, but they are a little too invasive and risky. If none of the above methods work, you probably either have a bad virus, a damaged registry, or a damaged O.S.

Best of luck. I'm afraid I can't support any further. You can do a Google search if you need more help.

Thanks for the help however, I managed to find a Warrior Spyware forum, much great help with my problem. It's all they do.
The Windows xp forum aka Cnet forum was also a great help. I'm still scanning and in Spyware Combat, it's a slow and stressful process.
It's the first time I've ever encountered such a thing. Flock has been great, IE has been a pain.

    Hey Sonni,
There are two free virus programs out there that are very top notched.

    Avast
and AVG. I personally use Avast and it catches everything that I come across. You can find both of these at download.com(which is a good site for finding stuff like this as they test it and you can get reviews and such.)

IN addition to the wonderful advice Newbie gave I would also do the following:
    1. Switch to firefox 3.0 as your browser as the new security measures they have are awesome.
    2. Once you get your spyware program installed, reboot in safemode by restarting and pressing F8, (You can find instructions online pretty easily)
Once you've booted up in safe mode run your spyware/virus software. What this does is prevent the viruses from starting when your computer starts and they can't so easily defend themselves against your virus remover.

I hope you get everything straightened out.

    Best of luck,
    Gilbert

Yes. Clickbank is a well-known affiliate marketplace for both publisher and affiliates. It mainly focus on digital products.

Yes, article submission helps build up backlinks and generate traffics to the site that you want to promote.

Yes, participating in forums helps to create links as well to your website.

All these things are not easy to do, you have to do them constantly and business is just like a tree, give it time to grow!

For the past year, I've been using the following anti-malware software (please note that they are ALL 100% free to download):

    Anti-Virus:
    Avast

    Anti-Spyware:
    Spyware Terminator
    SUPERAntiSpyware
    AVG Anti-Spyware

    Firewall
    Comodo

Please also note that you can only have ONE anti-virus product (so choose wisely), but you can never have too many anti-spywares (the more the better).

Just keep an eye on your system memory though. More programs running in the background will slow the computer down if you don't have enough RAM... (However, the above all work fine with my 1GB of memory...)

I now have Counter Spy, Malwarebytes, AVG, and Repair Registry pro
I haven't used IE in a month or more I just use Flock and haven't had any problems. I scan often and try to watch where I'm going. I may try some of the other anti-spyware suggested. Thanks for the help.

I'm in the same boat. I'm on Day 35 of my online income system. I had 2 articles that made the first page of google but after about one week they disappeared. Google is unexplainable in that way. I havent had any sales yet, but i think its more me than the system. There are people who have made sales on the program but im not there yet.
