auto dialer

Maybe I cannot see the forest for the trees? Let me explain. In the mortgage industry I used the dreaded auto-dialer to call people to get leads for my loan officers for refinance. We actually started building our own machines about 10 years ago. With all the new lender rules ??“ I am obviously looking to change vocations.

I have been looking at Coastal for a while and simply cannot see where / how anyone could use these. I did do a test and called about 9000 people ??“ using a message that was for retailing the product ??“ and offering a 3 day complementary vacation for those that replied. Zero response.

However, I see on here something about Contact Talk. But that appears to be an email program that delivers a voice message? Maybe buying the really cheap leads and then using the dialer to call them? Some problems in some states like IL Bell ??“ they charge per call ??“ even if you are calling across the street. But like anything ??“ with the right closing ratios ??“ maybe it could make money?

Again ??“ I do not know enough about how everyone markets ??“ and there are obviously tons of different means of marketing ??“ so see where these dialers might fit?

If anyone has any thoughts or questions ??“ feel free to open my mind ??“ or ask questions so we can explore possibilities. I have several of these just gathering dust. It is possible that this forest has no trees also.

    Hi Bob,

I do not have ContactTalk but if I am not mistaken it is used to make the first and possibly several calls to the leads that have been bought by should still make personal contact as well.

These are not cold calls but calls to people who requested more info about earning money from home so therefore you wuld get a better call back response than from autodialing a lot of people blindly who never requested any contact, KWIM?

Those using ContactTalk are still calling their leads this is just another way of making contact and putting your name and information in front of the prospect.

Someone who is using ContactTalk can better explain I am sure. [IMG]

This is a great question. I think we have to look at maybe a few factors. First in my humble opinion is what the message is saying exactly. I know you have been in sales awhile but id love to hear the message. Next is how does the number come up? I know if I get an unknown caller I dont answer.

I think that a dialer is a great idea as its just like calling yourself and leaving a message. It's just a way to outsource it. Id love to talk further with you about this process. I know that Scot Chatron is raving about his auto dialer with Contacttalk. He used to work 4 days a week and now he is down to 3.

Stick with it Bob I know this will work.

Actually I was quite surprised at the zero response. I have been programing dialers for over 20 years with messages etc. It is possible that a different message would work - but I have never blanked when testing a new message.

So that is why I am asking for any ideas - Since we build them we can make them do about anything - so hopefully someone can see where they may be useful?

Maybe someone else has some experience on how to put these bad boys to work? I think I saw where one of the lead companies had some leads really cheap and even mentioned they might be useful for an auto dialer?

I have recently used Voiceshot and because of the 800# I use to get a return call from I know who has called back, they may not leave a message but I did get people calling back and a few leaving a message.

The message you send out is very important as well.

Can you explain briefly what voice shot is?

voiceshot is a web service that allows you to go to a website, create an account, record a message and upload a list of contacts/leads and call thousands of numbers in a matter of minutes. They have the option to hit numbers on their phone to be transferred to other numbers if that is what you want. You can have it give a different message if a machine answeres. It costs .12 cents a minute and if you transfer a call it will charge you for as long as you are on the phone with that person.

    HI Bob,

It might be your message. Am I correct in assuming your using the autodialer for the mall program your working?? Here are some helpful tips.

    1) It might be the target market your using. What did you invest on the leads. Had you phoned them yourself, would you get a better result? ( this type of question is generally asked when you have used the same lead company and type for a long time)

    2) What was your message? Perhaps you were not specific enough?? I know the powermall is a free thing...I'd promote that on the message.

    3) It could be your voice tone?? To get results, speakers speak at a higher tone when speaking to a group and It works the same with a voice broadcaster.

If you'll answer the questions I've asked and give us a better idea of what you did and said...I'll drop back by and see if I can assist you further.

I have been using auto dialers for over 20 years. We have been building our own the last 11 years. I do not need help running the machines - I am trying to find someone in Coastal that has some experience in this area of marketing.

Bob, please supply us with what you said in your message

Who you sent it to and why them?

What your call to action was to get the vacatoin and then I'll tweak it and make you get a better response.

I believe although it's a numbers game, a big part of your success would be to market the right niche. Vacations is something that most people do at least once a year, and also there are tons and tons of people looking for a reliable business opportunity out there, so both of those are covered.

Now, if you are going to target stay at home moms, you gotta go where they go (online or offline) and advertise in those places.

You would probably get more response from a voice shot sent to 900 targeted leads than to 9000 people that never requested information from you. In this case targeted leads are people who are interested in traveling and/or making money from home AND have or can get the money to invest in a new business or travel package.
