I really don't mean to copy off of your paper or cash in on YOUR hard work, but I'm so TOTALLY confused as to where to start!!!
I just bought Profit Lance 4 days ago and I'm NOT working so I have ALL day to read the materials and watch the videos, but I can't figure out where to start. I filled out everything in the 'tasks' area and I saw some products on clickbank I would like to monetize. There is no forum in Pofit Lance so I post my question here. Can anyone tell me if: 1) I'm doing the best thing first by approaching the clickbank avenue? 2) Can I do it without paying for anything? 3) Step by step EXACTLY how I do it in order to possibly wake up tomorrow and be able to check all the ways I'm making anything? even if it's 15 cents?
Thanks and please understand that I'm not lazy, I'm just COMPLETELY overwhelmed.

We all were, or are, at some point or another.

How are you proposing to clickbank w/o paying? Or at least, for how long? Have you established a campaign? Lotsa questions that need to be answered b4 yours can be adressed....

Just take a deeeeep breath & breathe.... FocusFocusFocus - these 'products", are they ones you are familiar enough with to market in several "markets" simultaneously? If not, don't spend your time & energy, which will shortly turn into $$, on spinning your wheels on something that is completely foreign.

Poke around this forum a bit if you haven't already done so, and realize that here you are listening to people that are either in, or have been in, the same boat as you.

Desperation breeds exasperation - not profits. Slow down & assess your goals before you develop a plan.

Kalien, Fair enough. Thanks for your post. Focus for me right now is the toughest part. I have a lot of things happening around me at the moment and thats the biggest issue. Since I wrote that post, (even though it was just last night) I've come to accept that this is going to be a marathon race for me. I intend to build a business through what I learn through PL and If it takes 3 months before I get the hang of it then so be it. I'm looking at it now like a college course or whatever. Thanks for your response.

That is the best advice you can take and give yourself. Pretty much budget for 6 months(just like a real business) to not make a dime.

I know when I first started my biggest mistake was trying to take the online marketing world by storm in a matter of days... Basically it lead to me signing up for alot of free stuff that just distracted me. I'm now much more focused and am meeting my goals...eh I need to get an article out today that I just don't want to write...but work is work. If you need any help with anything this is by far one of the best forums on the net for legitimate information.

    Best of luck to you.

    Jadimon,

I second Gil's sentiment about your own advice.

Were you peeking in my window about two months ago???? Because you're describing me right there!![IMG]

But it sounds like you settled down & learned to focus much quicker than most. And the part about focusing on the learning aspect of the biz is the best thing you can do for yourself. And do continue to consider it a college course for this one important reason: It's very easy to read something, especially in the early stages of the learning process, get excited & be anxious to go right out and apply it. Testing out new ideas is fine, but don't let yourself get distracted from completing the course before you dive in with both feet. You don't expect a student in medical school to start performing surgery right after completing Biology 101, do you? Self discipline will be your strongest ally in the long haul.

And like Gil said, you are certainly in the right place to help you through this. This forum saved my sanity & my wallet!!

    Good Luck to you!!

    jadimon,

Everyone gets overwhelmed when they first start learning about online marketing. Profit Lance is a very large program and it is overwhelming for everyone who first looks at it.

Start at the top of the left nav menu and work your way down. Then go across the top nav from left to right.

One additional suggestion: Finish the entire course before you try to monetize. If you study for 6-8 hours a day, it takes 6-8 weeks to carefully absorb everything.

    Education, implementation, monetize.

    Good luck!

While what you're saying is so true, but the problem is, when they lure you in to buying a money making system they give you the perception that you can start making money right away. Thats the worm on the hook that makes you bite. Oh sure there is a disclaimer in small print stating something like results may vary. Nowhere is this mentioned in the body of the pitch.

I believe that's why so many people get frustrated when after a couple of weeks to a few month they haven't started the reap the benefits of all their hard work.

Yep, I'm very offended by the dishonest "gurus" out there. They mislead like crazy. They shouldn't prey on people's desperation to make money quick.

Double Yep. And, that's why PR drops, blogs get dropped, and standards are tightening. Poor sites are put up and mostly left as a fire and forget in hopes of earning a quick buck.

Google is decreasing PR on such sites. Blogs are being dropped. Dreams are being shattered because of these "promise gurus".

Once people realize this, they should get rid of guru inebriation and go back to putting in the proper footwork in the learning circle.

You know the drill - identify the components, learn each component well, create a carefully designed plan, code and write before launch, launch, then monetize. Tweak for life.

It takes time and work. There is no shortcut. Don't quit your day job yet.

Duckbird DOES have a point! In all fairness to looking at all sides, I am in the situation of a job loss and tough financial times almost this whole year and granted that makes me a bit desparate, the materials DO (or maybe it was just how I wanted to read them) seem like you can dig out pretty quick once you bite.
I'm still glad I bought the course. Eventually I'll get there and then thier will never be any turning back. So I got tricked in a good way. I'm cool with it.

Yeah unfortunately most people make their buck off an initial sale. I'm of the mindset that a residual income is what's best as it will continue to come in. With that said it makes no sense for me to bait and switch on someone when I'm going making $1 off each person, the $$$$ is in building my downline so I am upfront with everyone I come across. If you are here to make a fast buck then you're going to be sorely disappointed. My goal as I've stated numerous times is to teach people how to sign 1 person up a month and teach that person to do the same, all along telling them that the money is there it just takes a moment to build. I have 2-3 people in my downline that haven't responded back to me, usually those people will drop, I hope they don't get discouraged and realize you can make it, it just takes time and effort.

Most old adages hold true on the net as well as the real world.

I've been doing this going on three months now and I'm frustrated because things are not going well for me. But this is where the term "Results May Vary" come in.

While some people can get in and start making a profit right a way, while others (like me) will get in and long periods of NOTHING.

I'm beginning to come to the conclusion, it just might take up to a year or more to make any kind of profit. I've accepted this and all I can do is just keep promoting my site and hope for the best.

Duckbird, I want to say something about that. First I'm a tough learner. So consider that your hearing from a guy who doesn't usually get things right away. Consider looking at this with the mind set that you just never know when things are going to hit. Maybe your approaching what your doing in a way you can tweak and everything changes. Be optomistic and keep at it. I believe one day (maybe very soon) everything could hit all at once. Thats how learning happens for me. I'll give you one example of a hundred I could give: When I was a kid I wanted to be able to do a wheelie on by bike. I thought that was sooooo coool! It took months of nothing, but one day I figured it out maybe even by accident and from one day to the next I had crossed over to the other side. Maybe a silly example, but I think learning this stuff works the same way. From darkness and nothing, to swerving into getting the hang of it. Just be open to ANYTHING every day with no preconceived notions and believe. Thats the recipe I say to you, to be saying it to myself! This forum is great for that reason! Good luck!

I agree with OpenDomain and Jadimon, understand that it takes time and tweaking.

Just keep in mind that you have to continually learn.

Just because it isn't working very well yet, doesn't mean it won't in the future.

I haven't lost hope, I've just lowered my expectations a bit so if I don't succeed, I won't be disappointed and if I do succeed, I'll be pleasently surprised.

You're right a lot people could catch buying fever and start buying up everything I'm promoting.

    Duck,

I've said it before and I'll say it again. You are definately a funny guy. You really make me laugh. Please consider adding a humor site to your arsenal of income streams. At least create a free blog. You really are a natural, I'm not being sarcastic. I bet you'd enjoy it too.

  16. To answer your second question: Yes, you can promote clickbank products without having to pay anything.

    There are several methods including:
Writing reviews of the product and adding your affiliate link.
Posting in forums with your link in the sig box.
    Blogging.
    Article Marketing

If you do choose to write an article or blog, try not to make it a sales pitch. Instead, write some good content relating to the product or if you blog simply write about your experience. Be sure to write in a conversational tone. Then add your links.

    To your success,

    Michael

I guess you are refferring to holly mann's "honest riches" it is great ebook and compliments the pl coursed well.

As for th pl courses itself many people find this problem and is one of the weaknesses i believe the course has. once you have read all the information about making money online, head to the project section, follow this through, don't just watch the videos and actually pause the video and do it your self. You are more likely to learn if you are more hands on so follow the instructions and build a site.

Also under the blueprint section the adsense plan is another great place to start if you want to set up a content site and earn money through adsense. It takes you through the steps and gives helpful tips along the way.

I know you say you have had pl for three months but it does take time to learn the trade and be successful in making money only, keeping a positive attitude and Percevirence are needed.
