As a carpenter/contractor with many 'off-grid' and environmentally friendly jobs under my belt, I have recently started a new 'green' home business, promoting sustainable lifestyles.

Can anyone offer me direction as to how and gain more exposure on the Internet? I've joined the Carbon Copy Pro community and am currently taking the education they offer, combined with the on-going training and support to help promote my website.

This forum looks like another powerful source of information. Any advice will be greatly appreciated as my background in construction and limited experience on the web seem to be limiting my growth.

Knowing that all home businesses are, by nature, inherently 'green', my thoughts are to begin promoting my new business within this eco-friendly market. How can I best gain exposure within this niche market?

Any advice can make the difference in my success. I am open to any techniques or tips to help me grow. Let's visit soon.

If you want to create your own internet presence, SBI is a great way to learn AND create a website - I learned most of my SEO stuff with them but then also use free places along with that....

Good luck - you have picked a great niche.[IMG]

I am also with Carbon Copy pro and learning LOTS.
If you are doing all the marketing that they suggest, your visits and traffic should be top notch!

    Good luck!

If you're attempting to get more local customers, don't forget to check out the Google's local business center.

Local search is increasing in leaps and bounds and it will be a large portion of daily search volume.

Google will help you leverage it for promoting your business provided you're after local customers.

    Hi Mitchell,

I recommend you go to your local bookstore and get the book called:

Multiple Streams Of Internet Income By Robert G. Allen

This will not only give you ideas on how to market online, but it will show you the huge potential there is for anyone to build a strong and profitable internet business.

    Good luck,

Here's what you can do. You can get listed for Google Local Business Results.

So depending on your keyword, you will show up for it.

For example: If your keyword was green houses, then you would show up for your listing depending on the city you are located in.

So if people search Green Houses Toronto, then you would show up in the sponsored listings.

One thing that many marketers overlook is the obvious.....
Attributes that their product posses that they take for granted.....

    For example...made in USA....
    Made fresh daily.....
    Custom designs available...
Direct from the farm to you.......(via many handlers)
    Beautiful color...
    Free delivery.......

They are positives that add to the perceived value of the product...
    And they some newspaper ads....
