I am on the finishing stages of a website I am creating and I was thinking of putting in some adsense. I just had some quesions

How much does google pay per click?
Is it possible to make good money from there ads?
How many hits a day would generate good revenue from the clicks?

How much well for adsense none it is free to place ads on your site for adwords (ppc) then you can put a restriction but if this is unknown territory i would advise you read up on it otherwise iou could lose more money than you gain.

Yes it is possible to make good money but you need to put some time, effort and and keep a positive mentality.

Well obviously the more clicks you have a day the better but it range between making $1 -$5 a day and if you have several sites set up this could potential be good money earner

Adsense doesn't cost you anything but a little space on your site.

I think Hemjoe was meaning to be careful with Adwords ad campaigns (the other side of the equation).

With Adsense, what they pay is totally determined by the demand of the keywords that you've targeted by their advertisers. Some words are worth far more than others.

It used to be that it was fairly easy to make a couple hundred dollars a month in adsense with not extremem amounts of traffic ... their policies and payout amounts are pretty unpredictible, imho.

The only real way to find out how it might do for you is to give it a try. Add it to pages that you don't have some better action you want your visitor to take and see how it goes [IMG]

EPC depends on the subject of your website and how targetted the traffic to your website is

    1. The amount that you will earn will vary by the keywords you are bidding on.

    2. You can make good money from Adsense...but you need to know how to generate traffic, and you need to optimize your ads on your website so that you get a lot of click-throughs.

    3. That really depends - the mnore traffic, the better.

It is very important to have good traffic to your site. Good optimization to your ads, and you will earn some bugs. I have adsense too. I am making from 5-10 dollars daily.

With Adsense, not all key words are created equal. It depends how much they are in demand. Here's a short list I found with the top price per click - there's are HIGH DEMAND search terms:

    $78.30 chicago personal injury lawyer
    $73.01 chicago personal injury attorney
    $69.17 lasik new york city
$64.27 new york personal injury lawyer
    $64.17 new jersey car insurance
$63.10 new york personal injury attorney
    $61.64 chicago personal injury lawyers
    $61.17 mesothelioma lawyers
    $60.74 atlanta personal injury lawyer
$60.29 new york personal injury lawyers
    $59.00 lasik dallas
$58.68 new york personal injury lawyers
    $58.38 miami personal injury attorney
    $58.25 what is mesothelioma
    $58.08 best equity loan
    $57.95 lasik new york
    $56.88 whole life insurance quote
    $56.75 new york car insurance . . .

I did what Google search on "high paying adsense" and found tons of information on this topic.

    Hope that helps,

You need to research the ins and outs of Google adsense.

    Start here:

Those three links should get you started and answer most of your questions.

It would be a good idea to also use the Linkshare website to be able to make money. With that website you get paid $1.50 per referral to Linkshare and you can but banners and links to well known companies and get paid when someone shops through your links and banners.

For high demand search terms, it is difficult to get targetted traffic

You're welcome. 20 cents a click can be good. I'm glad to hear it. How many clicks are you getting a month or is it too early to ask? Are you monetizing in any other way?

If you sign up for an Adwords account as well as Adwords, you can type in various keywords and find out the going rate for those terms.

As the ads placed on your site are linked to your content, you can use this to determine which topics around your theme will increase your income. eg If you're thinking about expanding your site and can't decide which topic to cover next, just do a little research to see which subject pays best. There are of course loads of guides that explain this in far greater detail, as well as other tips for optimising revenue, especially clickthrough ratio.

    Good job, aldanson.

It is definitely true that the content of the page determines the value of the adsense click. My chocolate site clicks aren't worth a great deal. Some pages more than others, of course. For instance, recipe pages may only result in .05 cents a click, while chocolate gift baskets may get about .50 cents a click.

Remember, too, that you don't get the whole amount listed when you do your search for possibilities with Google.

My auto insurance site has much higher value for keyword clicks, but I still only get a couple of dollars per click.

Google doesn't say what percentage they will give you of the advertisers fee. It seems to me that it isn't a consistent percentage. Comparing my two sites with each other, I get a much higher percentage on the chocolate site with the lower click values.

You also need to consider how clickable your ads will be. In other words: someone who comes to your website with "mesotholioma" and clicks an ad will earn you a lot of money for that click, but you probably won't get that many clicks on those ads.

Now a term like "free ringtone" probably won't pay you 2 cents a click, but if you can get a ton of teenagers to your website, your clickthrough rate on these ads will be huge. Basically, the keywords where there is an insane clickthrough rate don't pay anything. The high-paying keywords either get low numbers of clicks, or there is a ton of competition for the traffic.

Ideally, what you want to do is land somewhere in the middle. Keywords that pay a good bit per click, and have decent searches per month. That's where keyword research comes in.

Actually, Ideally, you'd get lots of traffic and super high clickthrough rates on some really high-paying keywords nobody else knows about. I live in the real world, though [IMG]
