I ran across this website and signed up for it. It was free so i figured why not. Curious to see if anyone has had any success with it.

I like the concept of Shopwurld, although shopworld.com is an available domain so I'm surprised they didn't take that one. [IMG]

Even though there is no cost to join other than a minimum monthly purchase of just $1.75, there is still the age-old problem of recruiting. The man in the videos suggests the 5 friends who tell 5 friends, etc. concept and that it will "mushroom" into a huge organization. I've never seen an MLM work that way for the majority of us and I'm usually not a good recruiter, but if I promote this I'll leave that part out.

The MLM moneymaking aspect is the most important one for us, but putting that aside for a moment: What about those who are only interested in making a purchase? Direct sales. Well, I've purchased items wholesale online (DVD movies and TV shows mostly), but Shopwurld sells at retail as distributors for a variety of well-known stores at the identical price online. I'm the kind of guy who buys most things in the actual store. I like shopping and getting out of the house for a few hours a day. At the very least I'll buy lunch. But for those who don't....or can't get around as much (the shut-ins) they may be the market we want to target!

As for those 5 people, I don't really know that many people. Those who I do know would probably pass on this. Shopwurld recommends social networks which I don't like at all. If I'm looking to do business, I don't want to develop personal relationships with my customers. I DO want them to trust me and make money with me, and therefore become repeat customers / marketers for years to come.

So what's the best option for selling this? Safelists? Traffic exchanges (manual and autosurfs)? Targeted leads? Personally I prefer advertising message boards, where we can discuss an opportunity's merits and shortcomings without going off topic. That's kind of like what we do here....although on this forum we can't include our personal URLs! [IMG]
