horrible first shift at C*t* AAAARRRGGGGHHHHH

    Hey everybody

    I might be fired. I couldn't run the west gateway it took 20 minutes to get that up and going. I accidentally transfered a client then couldnt hear the next one. Then my computer crashed to a black screen. Was told to log out and back in. couldnt login to citisource The page we are always suppose to have up. The 2 calls I took I froze up like like it was 20 below zero in the room.
    First was a call to lower APR. I said CAN you hold while I look up that info for you and boom I was shaking so bad I hit the transfer button OH SH##@*** Then immediatley got another call I was like a deer in headlights couldn't hear them and obviously couldn't hear me. So if anybody needs a laugh I am your girl. Maybe this phone work isnt for me. I couldn't find squat. When The lady asked why cards were reissued I mumble something to the effect... Sometimes cards a systemically reissued due to a name change removing an authorized user etc.... oh yeah I forgot she had mentioned a letter about account compromise. When I was done with her she probably immediatley called back to close her account!!! What an IDIOT!! I couldnt remember my own name or where I was let alone the 4 notebooks of notes I wrote in training. I felt my face burning. hour and 1/2 of stumbling around the system! Not sure if I am ready to do that again. I felt as if I had never seen one page of training or even knew how to speak. The clients were either laughing their A**es off or mad as He** when they got off the phone. Good luck to everyone! I am sure you will all do much better. So Much for thinking I will be mostly activating cards which I had down to perfection!

    OMG!! I am so sorry you had such a bad day [​IMG]
    They said they would take into cosideration the fact that we are newbies. I hope it wont be a harsh penalty (such as termination) considering that today is your 1st day. I hope the next shift goes over better for you. Did you check your performance screen to see if they wrote anything? Did you have any sales offer on any of the calls? That's what I am afraid of. How many calls did you receive? Again I feel really bad that your 1st day went like that.

    I did check my performance screen and nothing is on there YET lol.
    Its okay. I didnt get alot of time in sawgrass when I was training cause it was always down. I had a feeling it wouldn't go well. I think I should call P*l and ask for a training login to work in sawgrass some before I try another shift Maybe they will let me.
    I got 3 calls total 1 I acidentally transfer to god knows who. 2nd call was showing connected to verify but I didn't hear the caller. 3rd wanted to know why cards were reissued before exp date couldnt even find anywhere why. You have like 5 screens to work between.

    Awww, sorry your first day went badly, Suni...keep your chin up! It will get better!

    I don't have C*t* but do understand about first day jitters, believe me!!

    Check your stats but they do understand about newbies! [​IMG]

    Hang in there kid!!!! It does get better. I'm not working C but the first days are all the same. Work a 30 minute shift, then go back and look in the training on what you missed.

    Do that a few times and you will get the hang of it.

    Thanks what a great idea. I feel alot better since I did a Q&A with roleplay webinar. Scheduling my next shifts tomorrow. I have been contemplating for 2 days scheduling again. Guess I just have to go for it!!!!!!!! WISH ME LUCK[​IMG]

    good luck suni...you can do it you can do it! I'm still muddling through training, but i bet I'll be like you on my first day

    suni315 I hope things are going better for you. Trust me when I say you are not the only one who felt like that at the end of their first shift! [​IMG] My first shift was horrible too, I think I took 2 calls and had no clue what I was doing. My notes didn't seem to be enough and I couldn't find anything on the system. I don't work the same skill but I think it's like that for everyone, their training just isn't up to par. Hang in there and it will get better, 10+ hours later and I'm feeling good, lol.

    I too had a bad first day experience. I've been considered an active agent for about a month but due to techincal problems thru west had not been able to work until last night. I completely forgot everything, didn't know where to navigate, my screen froze. Tried to call a Pal waited for 45 min. gave up and have tried to call this morning, waited another 30 min. Still don't know what happened with my screen last night. Anyway I have been going over the training modules while waiting to be able to take calls, but have never had any luck with Sawgrass and accessing the system. I spend more time on hold waiting to talk to a Pal then anything. So I hope you are all right about it getting better because I'm a little leary about scheduling myself again.

    Hi everyone, stupid question probably should know the answer but what are queuses and what do they do for me.
