I want to start working from home. I'm new to all of this so any and all comments are welcome. I've had a long career in industry but enough is enough I've reached the end. Over the past year I've totally remade myself - dropped a lot of weight, toned and reshaped my body and now it's time to begin capitalizing on this achievement. Few men my age (mid 50s) look and feel as good as I do now...

    Please opine

Wow! It seems like you are a whole new man! Besides the weight, I see you also lost your employee mentality. Three cheers for you! Well, there are plenty of opportunities out there but you have to find one that suits your personality. You can click on my link and see if Coastal Vacations appeals to you. I think the most important thing is to find something where you can picture yourself being successful.

Maybe you were thinking about something else or are open to all suggestions. I don't know, it just struck me that you are the type of the person who would especially enjoy and take advantage of the vacations!

You have to look for something you are going to enjoy doing becasue if you don't enjoy it, what's the point?

Sounds like you are the type of person who will be successful at whatever you choose. Good luck!

The option of internet marketing is always available for example affiliate marketing adsense and other income streams like that. There is a wide range of money making techniques it is just finding the one that suits you and the one you will enjoy most. If you enjoy doing something you tend to work harder at doing it and effectively increase your chance of success. Good luck with what you choose and keep us posted.[IMG]

You may waht to check out the "identifying work at home scams" thread on this forum. There is a lot of good advise on what to look out for so that you don't get taken advantage of.
That being said, there are some amazing oppertunities out there that many of us have found. We all have our links in our signatures, but don't trust us just because we are here. Still check us out like you would anyone else.
    Good luck.

I am also mid 50's PR. It's all overwhelming to me too. I am a newbie. I have a small painting business that does good but I would love to do this. I think Average Joe Income Package is a good place to start.

You'll find that the systems are pretty much the same -

Find a niche product (or create one) - use clickbank.com
Promote it - blogs, free ads, pay-per-click
    Collect a check

The information in any system is useful, but it becomes a common sense thing after a while. The trick is knowing where to advertise what you're promoting.

I use EDC Gold as my main money maker, it works for me, and several affiliate marketing ads as a secondary stream.

Jessie you're totally right. I recommend www.ripoffreport.com as well.
Does your research before you make any decisions. It took me many hours a week to find what exactly was it I wanted to do and with who I wanted to do business with.

With that note I wish you the best of luck

    Hi Roger,

Congrats on your new physical shpae that you got yourself into. Health is more important then anything else in life. You should be very proud of yourself.

There are a lot of possiblities out there for you for making that extra of full time income. For both online and offline, you will need to do your own research on many of the opportunities out there because while there are many good and solid income opportunities, there are also many scams.

MLM/Network Marketing is a great business to get into. It is never too early or never too late.

I really hope that you do find what you are looking for.

Good luck in your search and don't forget to read the book that can change your life:

Think and grow Rich By Napoleon Hill

    All the best,

There are so many options out there. Just follow what you like to do and do it.

When you do something you like people will notice how happy you look. They get really cusrious and want to find out why are you so happy and they feel like garbage.

I tell you why. They have a Boss you dont. Its not easy to succeed in MLM. This is not for everyone. This requires having good sponsors who will give you the extra little push and make sure you won sit on your MLM business instead of working it.

I need a little advice...I've reached a fork in the road. I've really been putting in the hours learning as much about internet marketing as I can. My dilema is this; Do I concentrate on building a website or lining up products, affiliates, programs etc to market?

Advise please. What do I do next...?

Roger, Do you know what you want to market? If not I recommend you figure that out before anything else.

Right after that I recommend you search for a good mentor. Someone who you consider good enough to guide you thru the first steps of your business. You see most of the people who actually quit the business is because they did not have anyone who could guide them to make common sense decision so the first thing in there mind to do is QUIT. And I understand, I went thru the same phase until I decided I was going to find out how did the people who are making money today in the MLM industry are doing it. I spoke and interviewed a few proven successful network marketers and to my surprise they all had one thing in common, mentors and reliable sponsors who take the time to at least help you out at the beginning of your MLM voyage.

I agree with the above posts. You need good sponsors and good training.

Information is easy to find these days. However, good information has a price. Plan your work and work your plan. I'm in ITV Ventures and it is a dream come true job for me. The leads are hot cause you take live calls off of infomercials. It's ground breaking in my opinion.
