No ro9beam2002. We aren't paid commission on "direct customer" orders. However, we are paid commission on backup orders. For this very reason, I don't even enroll anyone as a direct customer. Anyone can just as easily call the company themselves and enroll as a direct customer. Apologies for overlooking you.

To me , if you take the time and introduce, show, demonstrate the products to them and they eventually or start out only ordering when they want. you should get paid . That is not right

So basically they only pay if you persuade prospects into ordering in bulk and on a monthly basis. What if they read the paperwork in front of you and ask to be enrolled as a direct? Do you really turn them down? that looks bad on your part if you dont

I'll have to agree with you, but remember, we're marketing their (consumer direct) program. Direct customers, although they can order whenever they want to, defeats the consumer direct ideology of sharing company revenue. If we got commission off of directs, as a whole, the company may not have financial solvency. I haven't thought that far so I don't know.

I wouldn't think so, if you introduce them and sign them up. you should get paid.

They would have never found out about mela or ordered if not for the efforts of the salesman

It just turns me off for some reason, i mean if the customer decides not to continue the monthly order. I am sure mela makes sure they know they can order in smaller amounts at anytime just for a bit higher price.

You can believe they dont give up on a regular paying customer

I think ro9beam2002 is correct for the first month, but not the 2nd/3rd (subsequent?) months.

    Organization Commissions.
Each month that you qualify as an active Marketing Executive, you will receive a commission of 7% on the first 150 Product Points purchased by each customer in your Marketing Organization . You earn the Organization Commission from customer purchases after the customer's month of enrollment . To qualify for commissions in the customer's second and third months, the customer must shop and place a minimum Product Point order.

Correction: During the first 3 months if the new customer
places a backup order, you get no commission. From the
    forth month on you do.

Copied these 3 paragraphs from Melaleuca's website:

Product Introduction Commission: The first month you
personally help new customers purchase Melaleuca products,
you earn a commission of 20% or 27% of the total Product Points
they purchase up to 150 Product Points.

Personally Enrolled Customer Commission: Beginning with
your personal customers' second month purchases, you can earn
7%, 14%, or 20% of the Product Points they purchase monthly.

Organization Commission: You earn 7% commission on the
Product Points purchased each month by customers enrolled by
    others in your organization.

There are many more ways to earn, but the above applies in general.

BTW the 7%, 14%, 20% commission rates are for MEs with
1-7, 7-19, 20 or more primary customers (customers they
    personally brought in) respectively.

You may wonder why the Product Introduction Commission (PIC)
is either 20% or 27%. Who gets which???

Answer: PIC is the month number one only special.
You get 20% for bringing in the customer provided
the customer places a 35 (or more) pp order,
    not a backup order.
***They place a backup order, you get zip.***

You get 27% if you place the new customer next to you
in your org. This scale is the same regardless whether
you are an ME, Director. Sr. Dir....

Directors and higher may not have an open slot next to them,
so they have to put the new recruit under someone else and
get the 20% commission, even thou they might already be
getting 20%. That "someone else" gets the 7%, only if
they are allowed to receive commission.

This is very curious to me. Melaleuca earnings are
generally skued (sp) toward the betterment of the higher
directors, at the expense of the pions. Here the beginning
ME can get a higher commission then Ed Bestoso.
    Who would have thunk!!

The Corp Dirs who put this rule together must have been drunk
at one of Frank's all-expenses-paid parties (meetings). It will
probably be rescinded before year end. We can't have
a beginning ME getting more that a Corp Dir.

I may poke fun at Melaleuca, but I do love the company despite
    what I believe are zits.

I called up Melaleuca and asked about commissions. In particular
I wanted to know if we could get commissions from our Direct Customers'
orders. The answer was "yes" provided the order was 29 product points
    or greater.

    I called Business Development @ 208-522-0870 option 3

I signed up with Melaleuca back in the end of November last year and decided to do the business end of January . So far I haven't had any luck in enrolling anybody. Is there anyone out there that can give me some suggestions as to how to approach people. I have tried what my enroller suggested but doesn't seem to work. My enroller also suggested I three-way call my prospects with her on the line. I didn't do it because I didn't feel comfortable in doing that. I didn't want my friends and family to feel like I'm putting them on the spot.

The only way to promote Mela online is with an autoresponder. First make a capture page with either leading with the product or the biz but leave it brief and interesting enough for them to enter their contact info. Then let your sponder do the rest with the letters you write up.

Always follow up with letters pertaining to the capture page. If it is a product page then write follow up letters about the product.

    Take care, Gene

Yes mamm, we're Executive Directors, and I couldn't agree more. Tim and I are both home full time thanks to Melaleuca and building online. In the last 30 days we've put 12 people under others in our organization to help THEM advance.. and we could never do that anywhere else..... To NOT use toxins in my home... the same toxins I saw pts come into the ER from... to SAVE money every month... to get $100 in free products, well it just makes sense to me. With 1 in 2 getting cancer now, going green makes even more sense!
