MLM's are pyramid structured compensation plans. Anyone but those hawking them will tell you that.

I recently asked and was told as much:
    http://www.work-at-home-forum.com/t...-without-warning-for-soliciting-members.7307/
This is a Melaleuca rep talking...
Now, can YOU provide proof that she's wrong?

Mel is a product based pyramid structure. People somehow think that because there's a product involved, it can't be a pyramid - WRONG!

Prove me wrong... I'm open minded to that.

Dude were did you come from? Thats not proof, thats a conversation. Mela's comp plan is a matrix not pyramid. Did not read what i wrote, In my upline their is an individual who is making more money than their enroller, what do you not understand? I will post my business report later. 9 yrs ago we enrolled then we enrolled a few friends they enrolled some and since then every single month we recieve a check that covers our products. What is so damn difficult for you to understand this? I havent enrolled anyone or done a presentation in years. You call me a liar cuse you know it all from an online forum conversation???..PPAAAALLLEEEAAASSSEEE! My wife no longer has migraines from cleaning the house since we switched, we support other family's from this business model in the USA, and the products have saved my rear since my 1 yr old one time inked my tan microfiber couch and sol-u-mel got the ink stain out in less than 10 min b4 my wife came home. Now tell me why I would ever leave a company like this!

You're making this just too easy... A matrix IS a pyramid!

You obviously don't even know what a pyramid IS do you?

I'll make it easy for you... A pyramid refers to GEOMETRIC EXPANSION.
Some disguise it as a matrix, some disguise it as a circle...

And like so many product based MLM Pyramid plans, people always "just love" the product, and go at it with evangelistic zeal...
    Love what you like.

I'm just pointing out the mathematically undeniable: Matrix = Pyramid!

Careful, cursing is a sign that you've lost control...

    MLM
Acronym: Multi Level Marketing. A pyramid based marketing scheme like Amway or Quixtar where individual agents recruit other agents and receive commission from both their own sales and the sales of the agents they recruited.

as far as the way YOU described an mlm or pyramid scheme as a plan were people at the top make the most, take advantage of people and the last one in gets nothing. that is what i an defending against. This is how YOU described Mela and that is wrong of you. A matrix is not a pyramid scheme in such as ones described as taking advantage of people. A matrix allows an individual to progress at their own rate. Just like any sales business. Im done discussing with your ignorance. You have not provided any proof whatsoever Mela is a pyramid scheme aiming to bring people down nor will you ever be able to. Im trying to help you, but your so stubborn it's not worth it. Anyone can lead a horse to water but ya cant make'em drink! Im sorry for your ignorance, go trolling elsewhere in real MLM territory. I hope you had fun!

I never said that, and I invite you to show otherwise.

I said a pyramid scheme is based on GEOMETRIC EXPANSION, which simply can NOT continue indefinitely.

Again, a matrix is a pyramid.

Geometric expansion is the key, regardless of what you call it.

( Tjammoneyman said) That's how pyramid schemes work... Those on the top get paid, those on the bottom do NOT!

careful lying means your loosing control

(tjammoneyman said ) Their only source of "ethics" is their legally binding obligation to post disclaimers.
Their customers do NOT make the money they've been duped into believing is a real possibility.

Casinos make their money from sheer deception, nothing else - just like Pyramid MLMs.
So it doesn't surprise me that those who would seek to profit from Melaleuca would also like to profit from Casinos, if the opportunity were there.

Not taking the time to write properly is a sure sign of "loosing" control.

    ANYWAY:
Those at the bottom do NOT get "paid" - they get an occasional sale, soon they realize how fruitless it is and another sucker takes the bait, only to discover the same thing.

This seems to be where you are right about now - soon to drop out, or be one of those who simply "love" the products (!!!), like the many others who have been duped into thinking a pyramid can go on expanding for ever.

There's neve a "last one in", and I NEVER said so... Only that those on the bottom will never find success.
Getting "paid" $1 for $100 worth of effort is not my idea of getting paid.

    EGG-ZACKLY!
It's almost as though you quote me word for word... Wait a minute!
    You DID!!!

Well, you sure have a lot to say for someone who's "done discussing"...!

It's pointless to argue with TJam. He will quote you, but he won't take the time to comprehend what you say. He'lll just spout on about what he wants to talk about, whether it has anything to do with the point you made or not. He isn't really interested in what anyone else has to say about Melaleuca. He has a closed mind about it, and he is mostly interested in himself and appearing as if he is always right. I have no use for people like that. I wish you continued success with the company! Keep up the great work.

All I asked YOU for was a relevant price comparison of Melaleuca's toothpaste with SIMILAR products, instead of the FALSE comparisons you posted comparing Melaleuca toothpaste with completely dissimilar brands:
Here, you compare Melaleuca toothpaste with Sensodyne and Crest 3D Whiteneing - completely dissimilar products.
Compare Melaleuca products with similar products, and the supposed price advantage disappears.

Post a RELEVANT price comparison - but you WON'T because that will FAIL... Instead you post false accusations, attacking me personally.

Stick to Melaleuca, instead of name calling - and post a RELEVANT comparison... Which of course you and Melaleuca reps are simply scared to do!

When building a business at home OR searching for a way to own your own business,
to be your own boss, and build a residual income, be wary of these RED FLAGS.

    1. The company is NOT established with a great track record
    2. Product / service you would be promoting does NOT compete well in the REAL Market
    3. Monthly customer re-order rate is POOR (less than 20%)
    4. Hyped up promises of making BIG money
    5. A secondary "stream" of income from a company that promises to HELP you build your "primary" home business with a "lead generation" or "blogging"

That is so true I had a bad experience with other companies as well but Melaleuca is the first I felt was a real business and they really help you. This is my first month and Director is knocking on my door and this is because I had to change my viewpoint. For instance, if you view your customers as people that need and help then your approach will come off that way. So if you need any help just let me know. <Snip>

I am not in Mela but I can't believe the bad mouthing about the company. It is in the top 100 of
Direct Selling Companies so that should tell you something. I saw it while I was looking at where
    Trivita was.

Any company that has been around as long as Melaleuca has been around is clearly not a pyramid scheme as those are illegal. By now if they were scamming people it would have been shut down for breaking the law.

Then why not report them for their illegal practices?

For the exact same reason that virtually NO ONE has done ANY time for the OBVIOUSLY illegal practices that got us into the current financial mess the USA is facing.

Corporate fraud is a VERY difficult thing to prove, in and of itself... Add well paid and skillful defence attorneys to the mix and you can easily understand why White Collar crime so often goes 100% UN-punished.

But a poor low-life that steals a few thousand dollars, or gets caught with a joint, WILL do ALL the crime the prosecutors can dream up.

    Don't be fooled!

    Or BE fooled... your choice!
