    Hi,
If you want to get a lot of traffic to your website, you should write articles and submit them to some directories. Here are some step by step instructions.

    1. Find a product you are currently selling on your website to promote

    2. go to the Google keywords tool, just google it, and look up any phrase that relates to your product. The one with the most searches and less competition shall be your chosen keyword.

    3. Write an article about that product, maybe a review, and use those chosen keywords around 5 - 8 times throughout the article. Also put it in your title.

    4. Publish the article to places like ezinearticles and add a link in the signature box. Also include a phrase that will help entice people to click on the link e.g. click here to see how_______

    5. Submit the article and then write more. The more articles that you write the better.

    6. Wait from traffic to roll into your website, hopefully converting into sales for you.

Any questions just post and I'll reply. Also please post any improvements.

    Thanks and good luck

Beside this method, there are also other methods that will help you to gain traffic.

This is one way to get traffic, but getting that traffic to convert into sales is an entirely different matter.

Well, the idea is that using the keywords you found using the keyword tool will help you get traffic from people who are looking to buy.

But keywords doesn't help you to convert the traffic to sales for you. it still have to depend on your sales letter / quality content. In order to get people to pull out their wallet and purchased your stuff.

    Hi Srama,

Lots of people like to use your classic method.

Instead of submitting several articles for a single page, why not focus on creating new content. At most, you might submit one article per page.

I think that the value of the total number of content pages outweighs the number of articles.

Otherwise I think your steps are quite solid and should work well.

Thanks for the tips guys. Sounds like a good plan you've got Srama.

But the other suggestions sound pretty good too!

I was just wondering, Newbie Shield - when you say "creating new content" what do you mean?

Is it writing 'original' articles related to your product or is it diversifying your portfolio of products and writing an article for each one?

At the moment I've been concentrating on one product and I'm still waiting for articles to be approved. I was thinking of staying with one product until things started happening but at the same time, I'm aware everyone else is probably trying to sell the same! In which case, a diverse portfolio would be advantageous...

Thoughts, as always, more than welcome.

    Cheers guys,

    ip

I have to agree with you here, remember that you need to have a good sales page to really win people over.

Hey IP, I'm pretty sure what NS was referring to was writing unique material, but NOT submitting it to article directories. Instead add it to your own content site so you are building up your own website, not just the article directories. [IMG]

But it does sound like what srama3 was referring to was strictly article marketing without having your own personal niche site.

Building your own site is almost always going to be the best use of your time in the long run. [IMG]

    InnerPeace (and Angie),

Yes, Angie is right. Thanx for clarifying.

After one article submission, move on to creating new content pages for your own website. If you don't own a website then create a new Squidoo lens or what ever.

    Hi,

Great info over here..but i wonder how do we get the traffic to read/view our articles at article directory? if 1000++ articles is similar to what we wrote, how we do to get us on top?

not to say very much the same...more or less may be same topic, niche, etc... u know..

    Hey surveyaddicts,
You are right, getting people to actually READ your articles is a challenge. You need to optimise your articles for specific keywords in your niche. Go to the google keywords tool and research some keywords. If you don't know how to do this, just reply and I'll let you know. Then include your chosen keywords in your article, roughly about once per one hundred words. Make sure the article still flows naturally. This will help get your article into the search engine. Most article sites will display your article on their homepage for a certain amount of time after it is approved. Ezine articles does this. This will also help get traffic to your article.

If you are advertising for a specific website in your article, not an affiliate link you should try and get as many links to your site from places like ezine and squidoo as possible. This will improve your positions in the search engine.

Any other questions, please reply or pm me.

    Cheers,
    srama3

Quality is imperative if you are to get in the top with search engines. It is all about SEO. Another factor for getting indexed by search engines is,
the more links you have pointing to your product or site the better your chances are to getting noticed.
