When I recently withdrew some sum to my bank account from my PayPal account, I observed a covert tactic used by these people. Their exchange rate was over Rs. 2 less than what was actually prevailing. It may look small though but if you are withdrawing huge sums, it'll burn a significant hole in your pocket. When I contacted them regarding this, they had no answer.

I'm sure many ignore this aspect and PayPal is quietly ripping us off. I have stopped using PayPal now.

Yes, Vishal they charge over Rs. 1.6+ per dollar. And, yes, this is not going to be small when we withdraw lump sum amount.

No use of contacting them. You will never have answers.

Either we will have to live with this or we have to find good paypal alternates. Here are few:

    1) Xoom
    2) PayPay
    3) AlertPay
    4) OboPay
    5) MoneyBookers

I did change my primary pap pal log in email, I was told that i have to change all my pay pal order links or I will not get paid . I think this is wrong as all the rest of my info with them is the same as before.Because they are holding your money they are telling you what they will do , it should be the other way round ,we the costumer and should be looked after by them.
