I have a friend who would like to know if anyone can give some advise or direction on how to go about putting her books to sell on her site. She is site building with WP and has e-shop installed on her site. She has no clue how to do it and then needs to know how to link to paypal and her bank account.

She is new to internet marketing and is basically self-taught .... has a wonderful site, although stuck on monetizing it!!! [IMG] Any help would be appreciated! Thanks ahead.

Would you mind posting the website?

It might not be needed for others to evaluate but I know it would be helpful for me.

    Thanks,

    Matt

Hi Matt, I am treevee's friend. She just introduced me to this forum. Thank you for replying to her!
    My website is
It was set up in Wordpress by the guy who is hosting it for me. He also installed e-shop and said "There you go! Knock yourself out!" I am a total techophobe and so far have been unable to find an active wordpress or e-shop forum so far. I am trying to work out how to upload my e-books as products onto the appropriate page...

This question has a TON of answers,
The quickest and easiest thing to do when selling a product / service is hook up with google and paypal checkout it's pretty easy to set up and they do not require a lot of work / effort. If you are talking like a full blown e-commerce setup like zen-cart or OSCart etc that takes a TON of work.
I am a part time web developer and when my wife was looking into selling 2-4 products online I went directly with Google / Paypal checkout. The cart's aren't worth it if you are doing under 20-50 products, AND they require somewhat techy ability to really get it set up.

The technophpbe's best friend is Chris Farrell. Google him.

Pot Pie Girl is great too, but no one speaks to newbies as basically as Chris does.

Here's a link to her site for how to use WordPress (something I need to get around to)

    and her blog is potpiegirl.com

I agree that PayPal is the way to go unless you get big and want to cut a better deal than what they offer. But you need to be doing a lot of volume to make the hassle of going elsewhere worth your while.

They have simple instructions that I could even follow and I'm a big technophobe from way back.

Wonder if they will be using more than one medium to sell from ..such as amazon or other sites?
