Power of a dollar program

I got invited over for dinner at a friends place, and someone asked my friend what he was doing now, since he retired as a cop after 32 years.
He said he was involved in a few internet businesses, as it kept him busy. He seems to be doing okay as he and wife travel often, and have no money problems.
He mentioned something about a new program that he was looking at but did not push it. He changed the subject, but later I asked him about it and he just gave the URL. He said look it over and for me to decide.
Does anyone know anything about the program? I never even thought about internet businesses before this, but curious if this is something that I should look at.

I was going to ask the same question.

Came across the program on the Net and was quite impressed with the low BS quotient and the organised approach on offer.

They haven't asked for any money (yet) and I believe that the joining fee once committed is just $10 once and for all, so it would not be risking any serious money. However, I don't want to waste time either if it is just hot air.

In common with most of these network types of program, it will probably take some digging to find out what the real product/agenda is and how the business model works (i.e. does EVERYONE gets paid or just the founders)?

Any one else heard of them?

I've signed up for this - simply because I'm a total dufus at anything technical and the easy-to-follow steps in thepowerofadollar.net was simple enough for even an airhead like me to get right. I agree 4mostip, it's not a lot to lose, is it? I've spent an absolute fortune so far on stuff I don't even understand! It all looks so simple when they're flogging it then, when I've paid the money, they send me a ton of stuff I don't know what to do with. I've totally lost track of what I have signed up to. If thepowerofadollar can eventually bring me in $2000 a month as stated it'll be a start at least. Time will tell. We'll have to keep each other posted on how it goes [IMG]

It's a deal - see you on parade soldier!

PS You sound like you're in trouble with the "grass is greener" syndrome that most newbies (me included) suffer.

I've belately received some good advice that I can now see makes sense. Which is that the way to build multiple income streams is to get the first profitable and growing under its own steam - and ONLY THEN allow your attention to move to include a second. Ditto for the second.

Do 'em one at a time.
Otherwise your focus is too fragmented to succeed in any.

So we've got some weeding-out (or mothballing?) to do.
    HARD choices.

Check out Mark Joyner's "Simpleology 101" - it's free and could save your life financially (and your sanity).
It's a way of thinking and organising yourself - absoutely brilliant.
I have no financial interest in it at all - but it is changing my life for the better - day after day.

    Hello all !

I have also seen this on the net, but didn't do anything with it.
afraid to sign up thinking that maybe it's another scam. ( all ready spent a lot on them ).
Been looking for something to do that will make money ( the same as everyone)
All ready have an website selling truck accessories ( not doing well)
Just like to do something that is easy to do and to understand, the thing about THEPOWEROFADOLLAR.NET that i don't get is where and how do you get other people to sign up.
What do you have to do ?
    Well catch you all later!

Kevin - I followed this up (even promoted to Lt!).
In contrast with my earlier comments my advice now is to stay clear.

I have no reason to doubt the honesty or efficiency of the organisers.

The problem lies rather in the concept itself, which is to build a downline that can then be moved as a group to sign up with other programs.

The problem with this kind of scheme is that they pay no attention to the intrinsic value of the products and services of the programs you are affiliate for. All they ever talk about is affliliate commissions and overrides from signing up a downline.

Stick to a product you can be enthusiastic about because it renders great service at a fair price to a large and growing market.

    Hi,

It took me years and doing lots of due diligence to eventually find a very good business. It is so difficult not to get sucked up by the many scams out there. Do your due diligence. Try not to focus too much on low start up costs. They are ususlly the get rich schemes which promotes little or no effort on your part.

Any real bsuiness requires lots of hard work, but the benefits are worth it.

Hi there Quintbiz, I know what you mean about scams. I too fell into the trap. I how ever did spend alot of money ($ 5000.00) for a website selling truck accessories. Not really my cup of tea, but I thought that I would give it a try.
I already have a small construction business, and trying to do both are really hard.
Any way I could keep going on and on , What business do you have.
