    Hello All,

I have researched Coastal for about 3 years. I have always wanted to joing but I am not good at selling and I never seemed to have enough money. I stopped looking at the opportunity for a while until about 2 months ago. The Call Center is what got me interested again. Now that the Call Center is in place I feel like I can definitely succeed at Coastal. I have a few questions I would like answered though. I tried to email Jeff Mills, because he was the director I wanted to work with but he never responded. It would be great if someone, anyone could help me. Here are my questions:

1.) Does Coastal Vacations allow corporations to join as independent travel directors? For Example, if I incorporated my business, would I be able to join the program under that name and receive all payments in the name of my business? (For Tax Purposes)

2.) How many independent travel directors are apart of the "We Close Your Sales" Team? How many independent travel directors are apart of Coastal Vacations as a whole?

3.) What is the success rate of the "We Close Your Sales" call center? How often are they closing sales?

4.) Will my upline (director) have significant time to train me? Do you set aside time specifically for new directors to help them build their businesses?

5.) Does Coastal Vacations allow independent travel directors to create alternate websites to promote the vacation package? For example, if I signed up with the "We Close Your Sales" team and they gave me a generic website, will all also be able to create others on my own?

6.) When prospects contact the call center, do the call center sales people ask any specific questions about the customer to build a customer profile? For example: age, location, current income, number of children, occupation, how they heard about the opportunity etc. (For the purpose of tracking my marketing efforts)

7.) Is it possible for individuals to simply buy the vacation package and not do the business opportunity? What if they just want to use the package and not participate in the business opportunity?
Is the sales center activation fee a yearly (recurring) fee or a one time fee?

8.) Is the initial cost to join the business a yearly (recurring) fee or a one time fee?

9.) Does the sales center account for every sale a travel director makes? ( What I mean is, is the integrity level high? I want to be sure I am getting credit for every sale)

10.) If I wanted to sign up for a toll free number and have that number forwarded to the call center, could I do that? I say this because, I found a toll free number company (Kall 8) that allows you to forward your toll free number to any number and record all calls. So what I would do when I advertise is put my own toll free number in the ad, my ID number for the call center and when the prospect calls I can record the conversation. This will help me test the intergrity of the call center as well as learn some of the techniques the call center uses to close my sales. My question to you is do you think this is ethical.

Any help would be appreciated! God Bless!

I'll do my best to answer your questions. The call center you speak of is not endorsed as an official coastal tool, so I don't use it...but I'll try to help.

Quoting: OnMyWayToWealth1.) Does Coastal Vacations allow corporations to join as independent travel directors? For Example, if I incorporated my business, would I be able to join the program under that name and receive all payments in the name of my business? (For Tax Purposes)

Coastal does not allow corporations to join, you'll join as an individual. So, let's just say that you sold a membership to Dell Corporation, you'll have 2 people at Dell fill out the info. and be the director Coastal connection for Dell. Usually a director and an assistant or secretary. I do have a corporation, but I'm the member.

2.) How many independent travel directors are apart of the "We Close Your Sales" Team? How many independent travel directors are apart of Coastal Vacations as a whole?

I don't knwo how many WCYS people they have, but Coastal has over 180,000 members.

3.) What is the success rate of the "We Close Your Sales" call center? How often are they closing sales?

That's a great question and the only answer I can give you is perhaps the one they talk about where 95% of the people in a home business will not succeed. I've never found that to be true. 95% of the people who do not apply themselves to their business will not succeed.

4.) Will my upline (director) have significant time to train me? Do you set aside time specifically for new directors to help them build their businesses?

I can't answer this for anyone but myself. I keep an open schedule. I ONLY work Coastal, I'm not into all the other stuff that's out there. I do very well with Coastal so I'm not selling a bunch of other stuff...it's just not for me. I do 2 team trainings a day Mon-Wed. One on Thursday. I keep my phone line open so I can work with my team on individual needs. This is ALSO what I recommend to everyone. This is my full time business and it's how my family and I are on vacation now.

5.) Does Coastal Vacations allow independent travel directors to create alternate websites to promote the vacation package? For example, if I signed up with the "We Close Your Sales" team and they gave me a generic website, will all also be able to create others on my own?

It's generally not a good idea to do that, but you can. There are so many sites out there that many of them are not kept upto date. The only Official website is at www dot coastalincome dot come / sample.

6.) When prospects contact the call center, do the call center sales people ask any specific questions about the customer to build a customer profile? For example: age, location, current income, number of children, occupation, how they heard about the opportunity etc. (For the purpose of tracking my marketing efforts)

Great question...and since you've asked I've got one. Does the call center still take the weekend off? They used to only work Monday-Friday???

7.) Is it possible for individuals to simply buy the vacation package and not do the business opportunity? What if they just want to use the package and not participate in the business opportunity?
Is the sales center activation fee a yearly (recurring) fee or a one time fee?

Great question. Yes, we have many who choose to buy just the membership. I can't speak for the call center, but I know that they want to be paid for their time...so, I'm assuming your on your on if that is the case???

8.) Is the initial cost to join the business a yearly (recurring) fee or a one time fee?

The Official Coastal prices are $1295, $3995, and $11,000. There is not recurring fee, but you have the option of renewing your membership cards (which I recommend) yearly which will also get you the updates.

9.) Does the sales center account for every sale a travel director makes? ( What I mean is, is the integrity level high? I want to be sure I am getting credit for every sale)

That's a great question and even if the answer is yes, how do you know???

10.) If I wanted to sign up for a toll free number and have that number forwarded to the call center, could I do that? I say this because, I found a toll free number company (Kall 8) that allows you to forward your toll free number to any number and record all calls. So what I would do when I advertise is put my own toll free number in the ad, my ID number for the call center and when the prospect calls I can record the conversation. This will help me test the intergrity of the call center as well as learn some of the techniques the call center uses to close my sales. My question to you is do you think this is ethical.

I've worked with top call centers and I can tell you that calls are recorded for integrity and training purposes. I'd think they would have no issue with it and have nothing to hide.

    Hi Brittni,

My name is Lora Moore and I have been with Coastal for about 2 1/2 years now.

I just wanted to say that you are doing the best thing by stepping up and asking your questions! And you do have some really good questions here [IMG]

I am not in a call center, so I can't really answer your questions about them any better than Jay did, but I'm sure someone from WCYS will be here to answer them for you right away.

The best thing to do is find a team you like and find a director that you can see yourself working with.

I wish you the best and keep us posted!

OK, Brittni, I AM with the call center so I will be glad to answer your questions.

Quoting: OnMyWayToWealth1.) Does Coastal Vacations allow corporations to join as independent travel directors? For Example, if I incorporated my business, would I be able to join the program under that name and receive all payments in the name of my business? (For Tax Purposes)

You CAN incorporate your coastal business for tax purposes and yes it can receive payments in that name.

Quoting: OnMyWayToWealth2.) How many independent travel directors are apart of the "We Close Your Sales" Team? How many independent travel directors are apart of Coastal Vacations as a whole?

There are over 3000 members of the We Close Your Sales Call center and as Jay said 180,000 in Coastal as a whole.

Quoting: OnMyWayToWealth3.) What is the success rate of the "We Close Your Sales" call center? How often are they closing sales?

Right now the closing rate has been up in the 40% to 50% range. This is VERY high and honestly might not stay up there for long but typically it is around 21% which is STILL VERY HIGH.

Quoting: OnMyWayToWealth4.) Will my upline (director) have significant time to train me? Do you set aside time specifically for new directors to help them build their businesses?

I can speak for myself and say that I speak with my members on a daily basis if they need it. My director, Jeff Mills, has always helped me whenever I needed it and he helps my personal members also. This is ESSENTIAL for success.

Quoting: OnMyWayToWealth5.) Does Coastal Vacations allow independent travel directors to create alternate websites to promote the vacation package? For example, if I signed up with the "We Close Your Sales" team and they gave me a generic website, will all also be able to create others on my own?

This is where the Call center stands out above the rest. I think it is OK to say this since you are asking specific questions about the call center. We can offer people options when you join with the call center. If you want to sell the call center then you can. If you want to make retail sales without the call center then you and your director can do that also and after you are qualified you can on your own. If you want to have your own website you DEFINITELY can and it is most recommended. Joining the call center first gives you these options that you can offer your prospects. If they don't want the call center they you can let them join Coastal the traditional way and the directors in the call center will help you just the same. Our ability to offer options is a HUGE advantage for us.

Quoting: OnMyWayToWealth6.) When prospects contact the call center, do the call center sales people ask any specific questions about the customer to build a customer profile? For example: age, location, current income, number of children, occupation, how they heard about the opportunity etc. (For the purpose of tracking my marketing efforts)

The callcenter reps keep detailed notes in your back office so you can see how the call went, who the person was and what the next step will be for the call center to make such as a follow up call or if they are waiting for a check or whatever. You know what is going an all of the time.

Quoting: OnMyWayToWealth7.) Is it possible for individuals to simply buy the vacation package and not do the business opportunity? What if they just want to use the package and not participate in the business opportunity?
Is the sales center activation fee a yearly (recurring) fee or a one time fee?

This is considered retail sales and yes, we can do that separate from the call center. Again, another option to offer prospects.

Quoting: OnMyWayToWealth8.) Is the initial cost to join the business a yearly (recurring) fee or a one time fee?

The cost to join Coastal with or without the callcenter is a one time fee. There is also a $49.95 a month fee for the website/backoffice which is a bargain for everything you get.

Quoting: OnMyWayToWealth9.) Does the sales center account for every sale a travel director makes? ( What I mean is, is the integrity level high? I want to be sure I am getting credit for every sale)

Unlike most teams, when the call center makes a sale for you, the computer system keeps track of how many sales have been made on your behalf and when each person is qualified so when you get your training sales made you will automatically start getting credit for your sales without having to worry about a human keeping records. Integrity is at it's highest with the Call center.

Quoting: OnMyWayToWealth10.) If I wanted to sign up for a toll free number and have that number forwarded to the call center, could I do that? I say this because, I found a toll free number company (Kall 8) that allows you to forward your toll free number to any number and record all calls. So what I would do when I advertise is put my own toll free number in the ad, my ID number for the call center and when the prospect calls I can record the conversation. This will help me test the intergrity of the call center as well as learn some of the techniques the call center uses to close my sales. My question to you is do you think this is ethical.

Many people use this option to forward qualified leads to the call center so, yes, you can do this.

One thing Jay mentioned was that the call center was not officially endorsed by the Coastal Vacations Board Of Directors which is true. The fact is NO TEAM inside of Coastal is EVER endorsed by the BOD because the do not show favortism to any team. That includes CSG, CWB, DFI and all of the other teams that I won't list right now but I do want you to know that Al Romine, the Chairman of the BOD and Hoyt Farmer, the owner of the Call center are Very good friends and Al loves the fact the Hoyt and our call center are buying packages by the cases which is making Al lots of money so there is NO problem with the BOD and the call center.

By the way, the call center does close on Sat and Sun but we have a live 24 hour answering service that will answer any call and take down there info so the call center can call them back on Monday. It works out great.

    Wow awesome questions and answers.

I am not with the Call Center.

    Good luck,

One additional note, if you let Hoyt know that you will be having someone who might want to close the deal on Sat. he will make special arrangments if possible. Lot's of times he is in the office on Sat. and is glad to help out when he is available to do so. This is not an always thing but does happen occasionally.

    Brittni:

We also use the Coastal Sales Center, also known as the Call Center. My wife and I promote Coastal Vacations. We have both the Official Coastal Website as well as the We Close Your Sales Site. Our Director is Harold Simpson and above him is Jeff Mills. I can honestly say that both Harold and Jeff are there for us, literally we caught Jeff on a Sunday night at 11PM and got a question answered for someone on this forum. I am sure he will touch base with you.

We offer our prospects the choice of the Traditional Coastal Model or the Call Center Model. Both offer the same incredible product, the advantage of joining with the Call Center is simple. There are some people out there who, just like yourself, feel that they would not be good at selling and do not join Coastal. Those directors who can offer the Call Center ultimately have a choice for new members. Think about it this way, if you were not comfortable with selling, but you believed in the product and someone else would do the selling for you, would you have joined then? If you knew then what you know now about the Call Center you probably would have joined. Sometimes that's all it takes for someone to commit.

Brittni, you can run your business any way you want. The product is 2nd to none. People like choices. You may choose to join with the Call Center and down the road may develop your phone skills. There is nothing keeping you from doing the selling, but remember this, you might come across someone just like yourself and if you are not a Call Center member you can't offer the service of the Call Center. That prospect may just find a director who is associated with the Coastal Call Center.

    Best Wishes in your persuit

    Brittni,
you can definitely see the "family" connection within our team at the call center demonstrated on this thread. I speak with Bill pretty much everyday. He is now a business partner that I trust instead of a member that signed up with me. We help eachother and have become good friends during the process. Dawn is the same way. We speak at least a couple of times a week and there have been many times that we have all worked together trying new forms of marketing and comparing notes. We are truly a team. There are quite a few members of our team here on this forum which is a testament to our unity.

Quoting: OnMyWayToWealth1.) Does Coastal Vacations allow corporations to join as independent travel directors? For Example, if I incorporated my business, would I be able to join the program under that name and receive all payments in the name of my business? (For Tax Purposes)

Yes, but you must register your package under your name(Not a Company name). I've had this question on my 1st sale. This was the answer I received from the BOD.

2.) How many independent travel directors are apart of the "We Close Your Sales" Team? How many independent travel directors are apart of Coastal Vacations as a whole?

Not sure about this group WCYS, you would have to attend one of 'their team calls' and ask that question from them. I can tell you Coastal Vacations has well over 180,000 Members (not) business owners, but members world wide (last total via BOD)

3.) What is the success rate of the "We Close Your Sales" call center? How often are they closing sales?

Once again you would have to ask them. Honestly... It's really hard, it depends on the person and how much time they dedicate to their business. I say, never give up! Because giving up is NOT an option... In Life, Love or Business!

4.) Will my upline (director) have significant time to train me? Do you set aside time specifically for new directors to help them build their businesses?

Okay Upline director (a) is your director's, director (b).
(Example: A upline, B your director, and you are C)

So your director is the one who trains you. But let's say your director falls of the planet. Well, you then would contact your upline director, which should be filled out on your Registration form you send into the Shipping Ctr. BUT! Let's say you lost your form. Simply call the shipping center leave a message and someone will call you back and put you in touch with your Upline.

5.) Does Coastal Vacations allow independent travel directors to create alternate websites to promote the vacation package? For example, if I signed up with the "We Close Your Sales" team and they gave me a generic website, will all also be able to create others on my own?

    Yes, it's your business.

6.) When prospects contact the call center, do the call center sales people ask any specific questions about the customer to build a customer profile? For example: age, location, current income, number of children, occupation, how they heard about the opportunity etc. (For the purpose of tracking my marketing efforts)

Once again, this is a question only the call center can answer.
Keep in mind, the Call center over charges for the Packages, but they DO SUPPLY a service. I'm positive they do!

7.) Is it possible for individuals to simply buy the vacation package and not do the business opportunity? What if they just want to use the package and not participate in the business opportunity?
Is the sales center activation fee a yearly (recurring) fee or a one time fee?

Yes the product is great as a stand alone, this is called a Retail sale.

Now for you this is a one-time profit. Where as developing a sales force is 3x more lucative.

8.) Is the initial cost to join the business a yearly (recurring) fee or a one time fee?

Okay, the intial $1320, $4020, or $11,000 is one time! But if YOU want to you can renew your Membership cards yearly I believe it's $89. But let's say you want all the Pretty flyers and to renew the cards I believe it's $189. Also, depending on Group and system they use aka Business Tools, there could be monthly costs. Each group is different. DFI $49 only 2 websites, CWB $59 4 websites, BOD $79 4 websites with Telecenter #800, and CSG last was reported $89+

9.) Does the sales center account for every sale a travel director makes? ( What I mean is, is the integrity level high? I want to be sure I am getting credit for every sale)

Once again you'll have to ask. Now other teams don't "make" the sale for you. Your director will be with you on all the calls, so you will learn first hand EXACTLY how to do it yourself.

I don't see why not! But you better ask them. Remember as with anything Honesty and Integrity is a Two-Way street.

With Warm Regards. I hope this helps. Have a good night and God Bless.

Quoting: JenaVKeep in mind, the Call center over charges for the Packages, but they DO SUPPLY a service. I'm positive they do!

The Call Center charges the same for the packages as everyone else...they do not 'overcharge'. The added cost to join Coastal with the Call Center is the one-time fee that you pay for the services of the Call Center.

    (Just wanted to clarify that.)

Good Morning, okay it's a one-time fee, that is to be paid, at time of purchasing your choice of package. [IMG] Got it.

How much is it to Join Level 3 with the Call Center?

I meant I'm positive they keep good records.

Okay some more questions... What exactly is the Call Center's compensation structure. Meaning coming in at Level 3 what happens when a prospect chooses to start at level 1?

Also, when I obtain a prospect, will they be contacting me directly for their training?

What if me and the prospect don't get along? Will I have to refund their money or is this where the Call Center steps in and trains them?

Sorry for all the questions, just a little more clarifcation please.

Hello everyone! Thanks for answering my questions. I can't wait to join coastal (Harold I will be in contact with you). I tried to have my questions answered by someone I thought was in coastal and they tried to get me to sign up with something called Global Resorts Network, which I have never heard of. I am just happy all my questions have been answered and I can move forward in writing my business and marketing plan, as well as my decision on which team to join!

Regarding the questions that Jena asked about the Call Center compensation:

If you come in at Level 3 and sell a Level 1 package - you will earn $1000, $3000 for Level 2. You do not have to be qualified at the Level you join to earn commission on the Levels below.

Regarding training, I think it's much like any other Coastal group. Some Director's are going to be more 'hands-on' while others will send new members to the team training (either the Call Center training or the COA training).

Dawn Thank you [IMG] that is helpful. I'm trying to compare Apples to Apples

What if me & the new associate don't mesh well? What happens at that point?

What is the total of a Level 3 (package + one time fee)? Is there a monthly fee on top of that total for using the call center svcs? Or does the one time fee take care of this?

If so[IMG], I'm a Level 3 Director -- what do I need to do to use the Call center's services?

As of right now, time leverage is VERY appealing to me!
(3 kiddos = Soccer, wrestling, Kickboxing, pt room parent, and Basketball! M-Sat = I'm busy!!!!)

But I wouldn't have it any other way! In case you all are wondering... the answer is Yes I do all of my call & my Associates 3 ways from the Road, Gym or Field.

This is another reason I love this business, I can take it with me where ever I go.
