I just started and was wondering where to promote my product.
    Currently i've done the following
-made a squido lens about it
    -made a EZ article
    -mkae a website using webs.com

What else can i do to promote my products?
  2. Have you been promoting these sites? Try social networking, directory submissions, more squidoo lenses (not on exactly the same topic, but general niche-related informative lenses), blogging, link exchanges, and so on.

    Hi leetpete,

    That's plenty.

You can try a press release.

You might also learn everything you can about PPC and give that a shot.

    Improve your skill sets.

    Provide value to your readership.

Figure out new and unusual angles.

Network with other sites in your niche.

Interview. Offer a guest post. Ask someone to write a guest post for your own site.

Improve the usability of your site. Improve your writing. Improve the appearance of your site. Increase the page load speed of your site.

Pour on the benefits in your writing.

You shouldn't really have to do much more than that.

May I suggest you get a domain name for you clickbank links and forward your domains or subdomains to your clickbank links.
godaddy.com has one of the easiest domain name forwarding set ups that you can 'mask' so that when a person goes to your domain name or subdomain your domain name still shows in the web browser.

    Hi there!

What a coooool idea for a little business. I love games. I've never played that game before, but still. What a creative idea.

The website you built, is it going to get spidered by the search engines? I made one for my sister that was cheap/free and it doesn't get spidered. That means no traffic. If that's the case, your site won't work for you and you'll have to manually drive traffic to it. If you're planning on building a long-term business out of this, I would handle that.

If your site does get spidered, I would write more pages based on in demand keywords regarding your concept. The more pages your write that focus on specific, winnable keywords, the more chances you have for visitors to find you via the search engines.

Next, is there anyway to cause a viral spread of your website or product info? Like a freebie/giveaway thing that people can share with their friends? Inside you can place a link to your book for purchase, but maybe give just a few hints for free or something as a teaser. (You'll have to figure out how this would work for you.)

You can also do a similar thing with articles. You can write articles addressing different angles of your niche. If you provide good quality information that really helps people, it can lead people to want to know more. You can place a link to your site in your profile, for example, and drive people to your site or product page. I once found a vendor this way. It was brilliant and it got me to buy from him because he was the only one providing real, helpful content regarding the product I was trying to purchase.

Lastly, there are some ebooks you might want to check out. One is: Make Your Site Sell and another is Make Your Words Sell, both by Ken Evoy, Founder of Sitesell. You can do a search for either book and find them easily. They are free and the information inside is immensely helpful. They can help you learn to get traffic and the proper way to "sell" to that traffic.

At any rate, good luck with your really cool business idea! [IMG]

My recommendation is that you create a blog about MMORPG or video games. I'm not a gamer, so I have no idea how this works, but I do know that people who do play video games know all kinds of cheats and tricks, etc. This is one of those niches that involves a lot of conversation among like minds. This is a good thing.

    (1) You've got two video game affiliate products, both from Clickbank. Just like someone mentioned above, you ought to purchase domain names from Go Daddy and redirect your affiliate URL. Reason: Clickbank hoplinks are the easiest to hijack. All I have to do is remove the section that says "leepete" and stick my affiliate name in its place. I get commission for the sale. Moohahahahaha. No, I won't do that. Protect yourself. Learn how to do Go Daddy Domain Forwarding. It's not hard.

    (2) The reason I mention a blog is because video gamers have all this knowledge that you like to share and talk about. You could create blogposts like "5 Unpublished WOW cheats that The Gamers Never Even Heard About". Do you think a blog post like that would attract their attention? Make sure you actually have 5 unpublished cheats. You know your targeted audience better than anyone else. You know how they think. You know what they look for. You know what they'd be interested in. A blog would be a good place to have that information. Why? Because you know people are going to leave comments.

Comments are good for linking purposes. You can go leave comments on another gamer's blog, too, espcially if he's got a higher PR (page rank) than you. More people listen to him, and ar elikely to listen to you, too. And if you've got really useful content on your blog that he thinks is good for his readers, he'll link your blog post to his site, and that totally helps your site.

Also look for MMORPG forums out there and join them. Get members to join your forum.

    (3) You can create a mailing list on you blog (if you want to). While you're giving good tips or reviewing games on your blog, you happen to have - voila - two affiliate products that talk about super secret cheats and levelers. In your mailing list give one or two teasers away, but if they want more, the kind that will help them win the game, they're just going to have to buy the product.

    (4) Just promote your affiliate products on your blog right where people can see them in the side bar.

    (5) Stumble Upon Ads. Stumble Upon, believe it or not, has an advertising section. You can choose the category. All you have to do is promote your URL link. There's no need to create those dinky little banner ads like you do with Google Adwords. It will cost 5 cents a click. You must pre-pay at least $25. That will get you 500 visitors. You choose three categories you think you would best be able to promote in. You can also target by age.

You must decide wisely. Do you want to advertise your blog with Stumble Upon? Or Do you want to advertise the actual affiliate link. My recommendation is to think long-term. It may be in your best interest to advertise the blog.

So those are just ideas that might help you out.

As for NEOBUX. Traffic exchange. Plain and simple. GPT sites don't do too well outside of traffic exchanges. EasyHit4U. GetPaidToViewTube. Pro Click. It might be worth your precious time, to buy banner impressions and load the banners instead of the credits because they're cheaper. It all depends on the banner. Trust me. you don't want to click, click, click, click, click, click forever just to get a lousy 10 or 15 credits.

Yes, I agree with Gowriter. Starting a blog with your posts centered around video game keywords will help build traffic. It still takes awhile because you have to wait until Google indexes your posts.

Make sure you pick keywords that are relevant, have decent traffic and have lower competition. Following these factors will help convince the all powerful Google to rank you higher in the search results which will bring you more traffic.

Another thing I do, is after I write a post, I create a 2-3 minute video talking about post (don't read it verbatum). I just basically summarize the post verbally. Then, just upload it to Youtube or host it yourself and post the video to the video hosting sites (there are a bunch). Google loves video so if you can combine a video with a keyword optimized post, you will have a much better chance of rising in the ranks of the search engines.

Start writing a blog at www.blogger.com and post your referral link or site at the bottom of all your posts with "Sponsored in part by www.mozilla.com and click Tools, then Add Ons. You want to find and download the add on called "Add This" which is a syndication tool.

You will want to syndicate to at least 5 of the following: Digg, Diigo, Faves, Delicious, Yahoo Bookmarks, Google Bookmarks, Tumblr, Reddit, StumbleUpon, Propeller, and any of the others as long as it's not email or twitter. Syndication gives you one way link backs to your website or blog which looks favorable to search engines and many people within communities such as StumbleUpon will track into your site as targeted traffic which helps out as well.

This ends up increasing your page rank and helps out with traffic directly from your syndication process so you end up with more organic traffic to boost yourself up within even Alexa.

    Hope this information's helped out.

There are a lot of sites that allow you to post classified ads for free. I like Craigslist just because I used them before I even got into online marketing. The drawback with them is that you can get flagged by another user (competitor) for no reason at all. It hasn't happened to me yet, but it can and does happen.

If you haven't already, I would advise putting your product on Clickbank - this would allow you to get affiliates that can help you promote your product (assuming you have a digital product). Also, I don't know if it has been mentioned above, but you might also want to consider getting a USfreeads.com account and advertise it using online classifieds.

I guess you have got loads of tips by now. No doubt those are useful but you need to be careful while doing this. Yeah telling you where you need too.....

I guess you heard about SEO friendly urls or sites. Right. So I remind you to get links from such sites whether its relevant sites/blogs or directory, article, press release etc....coz these are more effective and get you result faster.

Btw avoid contacting link farms, spammy links page websites.

Well.. You can make a video about your business and post it to the hundreds of video sites out there. Write article and submit it to article directory. Social bookmark your site, and use social sites to get hits.

There are many great ways to get you and your product out there. Article marketing, blogs, forum that your target market hangs out in, PR, and the list goes on. I would suggest doing the free ones first, and do them all on a daily basis. Once those start to work for you switch to paid and other forms of marketing.

    To your freedom and success,

Have you talked to anyone about it? Pick a game spot and ask a few people some questions. Connect with them and see what happens. Don't forget to leave them a biz card. They can help spread the word. It's simple and free.
