    If MLM is not your bag try alternative programs to MLM or Network marketing. Use the search engines on your research to find a system you like.

    That's exactly it ... in two categories.

    First, if you don't feel the product is worth the money WITHOUT
    the comp plan attached, you're already fighting an uphill battle.

    Second, as you (MarieA73) said, "I buy bread every week ....."

    My point which I made on another thread.... is made with that line.

    If you don't already buy or use or NEED to buy or use a product a
    company is offering, you have another uphill climb. Finding new
    money in the budget to NOW buy it, because you'll be required to
    in order to qualify for pay in about 99.97% of the companies.

    That being said, if product is moving and whoever it is in the stream
    from "member" to "customer" to "affiliate" --- is using and loving it.
    then it's called GOOD ENOUGH!

    A pyramid scheme is whatever the governments define as a pyramid scheme. We cannot know for sure as the definition shifts and changes to fit whatever agenda the government of the day is driving.

    Pyramid Scheme is when the product is basically useless and doesn't offer much value such as information sheets.
    MLM is when they provide a decent product which is valuable to people.

    I'm sure I am in the minority here but the government should stay out of this unless there is fraud. Although I technically understand that Jim' definition is correct, there is no fraud if everything is fully disclosed, as to whats is going on. People should be allowed to decide for themselves if they want to join a program, without fear of the government shutting it down. Let third party consumer sites grwo and gain credibility to sort out the details. Now again, if there is theft, or lies to deceive or to defraud, that's different. Most are not that
    let the fireworks begin ...:cool:
