I am in the midst of re-designing my website with Frontpage. It's taken me a while, but I finally started. It's been a lesson in frustration for me.
I guess I'm just like an old dog that doesn't like to learn new tricks, but I find today's software so overwhelming. I'm using Frontpage, which I used for the first time about a decade ago, then went to manual coding. Now, I'm giving Frontpage another try, because I wanted something easy... ha!
Just getting through the manual is an endeavor - I'm getting there, but what ever happened to WYSIWYG????? Now there are 'options this' and 'options that'!
Arrgh! Oh well, thanks for letting me vent. I'll be okay now... I think.

I remember, already told about free good templates available out there, you can check out this site www.templatesbox.com it has some good professional website templates and free to use, available in frontpage extensions and i am using for my website also...

But I already paid $200 for the Frontpage software... so I need to use it... at least until I get my money's worth out of it... I think I just need to get more accustomed to it... it's just frustrating...
But I also like the templates on the site you mentioned... and will use those for my 'other' site - when I get more time!

I totally understand your predicament. Although I've never used a WYSIWYG, preferring to hand code my sites, I do relate to the frustration that can accompany learning any new process. And don't talk about teaching old dogs...

Here's a suggestion you may find useful although not necessarily easier:
You could use FrontPage to quickly draft a Web site design then use CSS to hand code the site. It'll give you more control over the design elements without the extraneous proprietary code that is common to WYSIWYG programs.
You could give that a try. Good luck!

Now i can understand all the predictions. If u r using Frontpage for designing the templetes. Some times u don't findout the clearity. Then u move to some other softwares abailable in the market. So i will suggest use all other products eg. Dreamweaver etc. for designing purpose.

Oh thank you so wise ones... I never thought of that! You cheered me up... in fact, I've been having to drag myself back to the computer to work on the FP... it's not that I don't like it... it's just that the manual is 400 some pages long! And I thought it was WYSIWYG!!! FP has advanced so much in the last few years...
Thanks, Vishal.. I shall go visit that site. The manual is NOT that user-friendly... sigh.

Not that you WANT to spend any MORE money, but I'll bet you could find a "starving" college student in your area who majors in web design - who will design a web page for you for about $50. Also, you can check out EBAY for a Front Page CD ROM tutorial. I found one just by typing in "front page tutorial".

Hi,
I have used FrontPage for most of my web designs, for the past 7 years, (old school, but it's what I know), but while creating a page, you do need to hand code some of the scripting. FrontPage along with most WYSIWYG editors bloat the code and you have to go an clean it up.
I have always had problems with how FrontPage handles it's CSS Styles, the program shuts down on me, so my work around is to use notepad to hand script the css and then link it into the page headers. I also do that for any javascript files that maybe needed. This also makes the page load faster on the server.
After I am finished creating a site, I use HTMLTidy to clean up the html code.

Go to weebly in future to build your site. They're not perfect but really easy!
