Hello all,

Just a quick tip here for all blog owners using
Blogger to widen the scope of their marketing.

I noticed that a lot of people still have blogger
bars at the top of their blogs. My suggestion
would be to make it look a bit more professional.

No slight intended. Just trying to maximize your
potential.

Here is quick way to fix it.

Step 1: Log into your account

Step 2: Click on "layout". Then click on "edit HTML" When
you get there, you'll see lots of codes in the "edit template"
box. On the 8th line of those codes, you'll see <head>

Step 3: Click after <head> and press enter on your
keyboard.

Step 4: Paste the following codes:

<style type='text/css'>
#navbar-iframe {
height: 0px;
visibility: hidden;
display: none;
}
</style>

Step 5: Click "Save Template"

That's it. Check out your blog and the bar has vanished.

Kevin

One of the reasons Blogger is free is because of the blogger bar... If you plan on building YOUR business using their free service, you should follow their rules.

Otherwise, buy your own hosting.

If you take Kevin664's advice, even if you start pulling in tons of money, sooner or later Google will realize that you removed their bar and they will pull your site down.

Follow his advice with caution!!!!

It does sound a bit unethical to "hide" the bar at the top of the blog. They are allowing you to use their blogging system for free with the understanding that the bar is shown.

By removing it secretly, it's almost like stealing money from them. It's cheap enough to buy a domain name and hosting so that you can have a blog or site "ad free" if that's what you want.

I know that if I was the owner of a site offering a free service with particular conditions in place, I'd be a bit cranky if people were trying to cheat the system. I would ban them from my site.

Something to think about.

Happywife,

Well put! Plus, I don't think I would want to be involved in any legal battle with Google. They have enough money to get away with murder if they wanted to!
