I recently started running an ebook website and also a product review website. Should I concentrate on writing articles relevant to each individual product or to the site as a whole...or both?

Also, is it standard practice to write separate adwords ads for each product on a site?

Thanks in advance.

I don't do adwords but as far as your website - do both. Build fresh content on your site then rewrite it a bit and submit as an article - kill two birds with one stone.

You can do articles on both and put links in your resource box that point to the direct ebook and to the main site, and double build your backlinks.

If you think you will fair well with adwords, assuming you know what you are doing there, then go for it. But PPC is no joke on the budget. Top competitive keywords can stretch beyond $2 a click...that's just a click, and you are amongst a plethora of competitors that make it harder for you to make that sale.

Free advertising massive lead secret of the gurus: They don't really get free advertising...they outsource things such as they articles to get volume, and that ain't free.

Point is continuous quality web traffic in volumes is gonna likely cost you in order to succeed in your business. But online marketing isn't the only way.

Do consider the potential of what offline marketing may do for your biz venture. Too many are lost in the jungle of free online marketing/internet marketing and soon devoured by its time consumption beast at best with not a lot to show for it. Very often offline marketing can be done at a very reasonable price per lead/prospect compared to the cost of quality online marketing, especially search engine PPC.

here's a tip on your sig - put around it - you know, the first set of [] before and the next set after ... and it will make your link clickable.

If you write ads or articles, you should target a specific product. For a certain subject, you can write articles or reviews and point the link to the particular product landing page. Doing this can give the visitor an easy way to get your free stuff or click on your affiliate link or subscribe to your list.

That is the way to do it. Make sure you submit your articles to the larger directories like ezinearticles that have a lot of readership, recognized as an authority backlink by Google, and quite frankly Google loves .

Make sure you are targeting the proper keywords as well. You don't want to waste a bunch of time writing and rewriting articles that won't ever bring you any traffic after the inital burst of being published. You want to make sure they bring you traffic long after.

Do your keyword research and stay in the range. Vary it from article to article to get a good spread but should probably not be more than 10 different keywords. EzineArticles is definitely an authority site and comes up consistently in Google.
Make a schedule of consistent article submissions. Write them or buy them but make sure they are original.

This is the best thing to do, you should always get as many useful keywords as you can to target many searchers.
