Blogging is an important technique for increasing site traffics. It brings more traffic to the website. Blogs provide one way link to your site. It helps search engine ranking.

It helps search engine ranking.

I believe you are correct with this sarpas. With my old blog I got a ranking of 2 after only 2 months last year. Unfortunately I lost that blog. My current one has helped me to get indexed by Google within 3 days of launching my website.
So hopefully with time I will get my rankings up too.

Yes, search engines definitely prefer blogs to static websites which are updated often

Does this also apply if you have your blog located on your own domain??? Is it acceptable to post comments on a blog with your link in the signature??

Thanks

I have alot of questions about blogs. Do you get traffic to your blog simply from search enginges? When people say they make money from blogs, it is from ads placed on the blog? Do all blogs have ads? Do you use your blog to promote your business or website, or is it more of a personal commentary? Any tips on blog promotion?

Thx.
Noreen

Whenever you post a blog post, you can submit to those social bookmarking sites. These will help to improve your traffic to your blog.

Yes, of course blogging always helps in promoting the traffic. People make money from blogs by leaving a link at the bottom to the website which you wanna promote.

Blogs allow you to share more information and content can be updated easily and regularly.

You do want to use pinging services to let more people know when you updated your blogs.

Cheers To Your Success,

You can if you'd like but it doesn't necessarily mean it won't be edited out or visited.

I just started a blog to promote my online business and I'm curious about something. Do most of you think that blogs for your business should be kept strictly on the topic of your business, or is it acceptable or even a good idea to mix blog entries about other stuff in your life right in with the business stuff?

Judy,

I think you do as you please. Its your blog and thats the beauty of it.

Try and put yourself on the outside looking in. Do your entries make sense and does everything work together? If so then leave it alone.

You can always start a new blog or change or delete posts if you want. Trial and error will ultimately decide if it works or not.

What it comes down to is brading yourself. No matter which program you are with, you need to seperate yourself from the pack. Adding a personal touch will keep the reader interested. They will be more likely to buy from you once they get to know more about you and where you are coming from.

Good luck!
