changing keywords

I would like to find a product or 2 that doesn't have quite so much competition, so after altering my keywords in my affiliate control panel (i'm hoping some1 knows what i mean by that) does google automatically alter my initial keywords i gave or do you have to contact the search engines and change your keywords manually? or would you have to pay to change your keywords? __________________ Paid To Click Guide
