Hello all,

Can anyone give me some tips on how to use Yahoo Answers to promote your Business without getting banned for self promoting?

Thankyou
Barb

Hi Barb,

Astute to be wary of getting banned from Yahoo Answers. It happens frequently.

In general, try not to submit a back link to the same site very often or you will get flagged a few times and then banned. You won't be able to lift the ban.

Alternate your back link addys and slip a few relevant Wikipedia back links in there at first - you're being watched ;)

Yep - usually, they will flag your account if you keep referring back to the same website at the end of your posts. Also, affiliate links are prohibited at Yahoo Answers.

Difficult, answer some general questions and only a few relevant to your website

You can get your account suspended with just once answer...if you are using an affiliate link or a similar landing page promoting a product. If your competition flags that answer, Yahoo gets it, and that could get you in trouble.

Just dont put you url in there. If some one like your comment then they will go to your profile. Or just sign up for new accounts whenever you get banned. They say you can do that so you may as well.
