Hello,
Well I have been looking into affiliate Marketing for a while now and seeing how my husband and I have just met with a bankruptcy Lawyer I am really wanting to get things off and running. I have gotten so many products and they all say about the same thing. I have a web site now. And I was wondering if you guys could tell me what you think of it and also any GOOD/ EASY ways to promote my new site. I just got it up and running tonight.

Greetings...

First off, what is the link to your website? Is it in your signature?
I opened your signature link and went to a replicated page. Every affiliate in that program has the same page.

If you have another website - post it or send it to me to look at.

Hello Stephanie,

Welcome to the forum. I'm sure you'll find this forum very helpful whenever you have a question. I'm glad you decided to get started with affiliate marketing.

To answer your question:

There is several ways you can promote your new site, and some work better than others. When you are starting to promote, think of the promoting as a viral effect. You have to start slow, then you have to spread the word around in any way possible.

You can start by writing articles and helping people in forum such as this one and then leaving a link back to your site.

You can use social media tools such as Twitter, Facebook, Myspace, YouTube, etc. These are extremely powerful and you will definitely be surprise by the result.

Another thing you can do is start building an email list from social media resources and spread the word through that.

I wish you the best of luck, and remember stay calm, focus, and work hard. The rest will take care of itself.

Hi Stephanie and you have gotten some great information here. I would say, write articles, start a blog where you can post to regularly and then of course link all your stuff back to your web page...

Do something every day to promote your business whether it be blabbing on the forums, writing articles, or posting to a blog, placing ads in free places etc...

Little things add up.

Hello motherofjazz,

When you Social Bookmark, write ads, like with US Free Ads, create a Hub Page and Squidoo lenses (read the terms first) or articles then keep duplicating the process.

This really helps to build links to your website which attracts additional traffic and helps with your search engine rankings.

If you do post your link withing your signature, we can offer more suggestions.

Victoria

Okay well I did end up paying for another site after I posted this and I'm not sure if I'm going to have much luck with it. I hope I see some kind of results though seeing how I have put way to much out to start all of this. www.myproductreveiws.com that is the site that I got up and going just the other day.

Hi steph,

As this is a replicated site you will find it very difficult to promote as other people will be promoting the exact same site and be willing to pay per click.

I would advise you join a few traffic exchange systems to start with so that whilst you're surfing you are earning credits which are redeemed for traffic. This puts your site in front of people.

Submit to free ad sites as well. Google Brad callan's directory submitter and get the free version. You only have to type in your article once and can then submit to hundreds of directories. (great time saver) However you wont be able to sign up to all of them as you cant put a back link to your site. Read tips on submitting first as you should only submit the same ad to about five sites otherwise they will ban you so just rephrase your ad and change it round before you submit another five.

Hope this helps. That's how I started out and when you start making money from it then you can look at pay per click advertising.

P.S. get a squidoo lens and offer a work at home review. Don't buy til you read this or something like that will drive loads of traffic.

Good luck

Hello Stephanie,

I hope this will help a bit.

Your websites are in the make money online niche, which is huge but very competitive. There is a way for you to stand out in the crowd, but I don't feel like this is the right way to start with affiliate marketing.

In affiliate marketing, Market Research comes first, before chosing the products or building a website. Find the market, study the behaviour of your target audience, and design a marketing protocol taylored to fit with this particular audience.

Please refer to this thread about affiliate marketing:

What IS Affiliate Marketing??

Good luck Stephanie

I agree with Yahia, when I first started five months ago, I did the make money online niche and then realized they are all about the same. To me its not like you are promoting a real product. Its not personal and it just was not for me.

The sky is the limit. Find something you know something about and research the market. You can tell by my signature links what I choose and since I made up my mind and stuck with it, I have seen some profit. Far from rich but its working. I truley believe its because I am passionate about what I chose.
